Markes thought that the place was a little too big. With its large doors. A very high sealing. And the aroma of burning candles. Fenlar had to agree with him. There are too many pleases to be attack at. Markes was startled for a second. They wouldn't attack us here. Blood would ruin the place.
"I told you we should have stopped so you can dry yourself." Then he looked at the woman that by the description of her at work was pretty close. Tall and beautiful if she wasn't yelling. The yells was Markeses first impression of her. Now he really didn't like her.
"I came with her. Well she nearly dragged me here." Sounding very playful to everyone else. But directing an angry tone at Purity. Markes made sure he stayed at the door just in case of something. And he made sure he had a view of the whole room and everyone in it. Calm down boy. We are quests. There had better not be a fight with you in the middle of it.

Restraint pushed himself off the wall he had been leaning against, observing the discussion between Purity and the little girl and now the new arrival. Restraint could feel something was off with this man. Much like the Virtues he had just been introduced to, this new arrival seemed to emanate a feeling of power. This power was some how different, more vague.
When the Stranger answered Purity, Restraint could hear the anger directed at Purity in his voice. Restraint drew his moon staff and stood with it at his side should he need it. He turned to the stranger and spoke in a calming tone "I'd suggest a nicer tone friend. I for one do not wish to start a fight here. You are out numbered and I doubt that you could take on all of us and win".
Restraint turned to Purity and added "My lady, the girl is clearly fine if a little wet. I would suggest that you take a calmer approach to this stranger". Restraint added in a sarcastic tone "I'll admit that meeting you and the Virtues for the first time is a little off-putting after all!".

Markes sized up the man with the weird looking stick. Then gave a mocking smile "Settle down gramps. There was not hint of a fight in my tone 'friend'. And for your information, it would just be a challenge." Fenlar gave a light growl. You remember what I said. Then Fenlar looked over at the man. And you will never lay a hand on Talent.
Markes felt very proud of Fenlar right there. Then he looked over at where Tach was and saw that she was almost dry. Then glanced back at the man. "You should meet the Sins! There attitude is nicer if not better." Then he took a few steps to Tach. "You ok there?"

Upon hearing Purity's accusing remarks, she growled. She also recognized Honesty, standing quietly. The man she had never seen before began to threaten Talent. She could tell Fenlar was becoming agitated. Please, please, don't leave, she begged. They'll warm up to you. When Talent came back to her, one small hand crept from under the blanket.
It clutched protectively at his arm while she glared at the stranger. Pressing her small body against him, trying to act as a shield between him and the others. "Leave 'im alone," she growled. "'Him's good". Her intense stare seemed to be attempting to burn through Purity. "Who's that?" she wondered aloud, nodding a head at the strange man.

Ooc: HOLD UP. Since when had Talent met the Sins one on one? Remember, that hot-tub spoof thread is NOT suppose to exist. No one remembers ANYTHING from the spoof thread. Because its a spoof. Assuming that Tach had met the other Virtues before, since Honesty is supposed to be extremely loyal to Purity and hangs around her often...
He made no direct move that attracted attention, but stood up straighter and watched the newcomer warily. The one named Talent. Tach he knew, but the new person she brought he didn't. If she managed to bring him this far (with clothes on, nonetheless!) he might be alright.
"Yes, the Sins. They might decapitate you without giving so much of a thought if you two behaved the way you just did. Being friendly helps. Brother Restraint, you should lower your weapon, I'm sure he means us no harm if he follows Tach- I mean, Detachment. And uh, Talent, welcome to House Eternity, home of the Virtues. The lady here is Goddess Purity, our leader. This is Brother Restraint, he's new as well." He introduced once more, before pointing to himself.
"Me? I'm Honesty. Been here for a bit. Hope we can be friends." He said mildly, smiling as sincerely as he could, though he could not help the slight twitching of his mouth.
edit: Okay, nevermind, you people post fast.

He met 3 of them in PoS
"Do you honestly believe that they are ALL like that?" Markes smirked at that. Then he looked of to where Purity was. "I already know enough about you." Fenlar growled. Hold your tung.
When Markes felt Tach hold on to him he became a little embarrassed. Not only was she protecting him instead of the other way around. And that she was protecting him from he own friends. But he gave her a nice smile.
Then Markes saw the twitch in the mouth. "Sorry if I am upsetting you." He said with a combination of sincerity and sarcasm.

Honesty shrugged. "Honestly (no pun intended)? No, I don't believe they're all like that. I met enough to know several by name, and they're more than enough. But none of them take too kindly at sarcasm being directed at them, nor weapons being pointed back at them. Some might even attack back when given enough reason to be angry. Like I've said before, being friendly and a little reasonable helps. Probably one of the reasons why I've survived thus far after meeting so many." He finished, an eyebrow raised.
"And no, I doubt you're completely sorry. I can tell about things, and, honestly, Tach, he's a good person, I know, but sarcasm doesn't really help when making new acquaintances or friends." He added politely, trying to avoid Talent's slight rudeness towards Purity with a little indifference.
Undoubtedly, Purity and Restraint probably already gave him enough of a bad first impression, but he wasn't giving a very good impression either. His eyes and his power told him to give the guy time, and maybe, just maybe, he might warm up to them (himself, included).
Ooc: Dude's got experience with the Sins, lmao. Even though he forgotten a lot about the War, he hasn't forgotten about the.. ahem.. previous events with Vengeance, Wrath, Vanity etc. Especially Wrath, she BROKE HIS (right) ARM DDD:

Honesty. Dear Honesty. Whatever would Purity do without her darling little mediator? Always kind, always collected. Honesty's behaviour reminded her that she needed to calm herself down. She shut her eyes and breathed deep, soothing breaths. Leadership, Purity. She meditated, Leadership is key.Inhale. Exhale. She began to feel more in control. The hot anger drained from her cheeks. Opening her eyes, she studied the commotion taking place before her. ooc: Ironically, as I'm writing this, there is a banner along the bottom of the screen advertising anger management counselling. Thought I would share that with you.
The scene around her was a strange one. The two new men, already challenging eachother. Purity snorted. It seemed that even immortals were victimized by the androgenous complex. There was Honesty, faithful friend, attempting to restore order. Finally, her eyes rested on the thin figure of Tach. She felt a stinging sensation deep in her chest. This girl, whose corpse she had pulled from the snow in order for it to live again, had sided with someone she barely knew. She examined the pair, the strange man and the girl who had defied her. He must be half decent, she reflected. after all, he did manage to get Tach half dressed.
She decided to make an effort to repair the damage done. "Please, excuse my attitude. I only fear for the safety of the Virtues." Clearing all sarcasm and anger from her voice she continued, "You are one of us, so if you wish, you may make this your home." Locking her eyes with his, she breathed, "Welcome."

Markes looked back at Purity and the site amazed him. She had totally changed. She was much calmer. And much more in control. He was very impressed by her.
"I'll forgive you for that. As for living here? My decision is shifting more twords not. But it is not affirmative." He looked around the room at all of the people that have been living like this.
"You know you should visit the humans occasionally. I am living with them and I don't easily get emotional." Then he saw something in Purity's eyes when she looked at Tach. Then knew that they were very close. So he decided not to get in a fight from now on.

Purity stood, slightly stunned by the sudden change of heart that Talent had seemed to have undergone. For the first time in a while, she allowed a genuine smile to creep onto her lips. It was a mixture of relief that all hostilities had been surpassed, gratitude to honesty for his calming aura, and pride that she had seemed to have regained her footing as a leader.
The warmth of her smile spread. As all people are, Purity was most beautiful when she smiled from her heart. Looking around her, a speck of embarrassment marked her mind. When did I lose my way? she thought to herself. Give yourself time.Pandeon, who had been standing patiently beside her, chimed in. He had chosen to allow Purity to resolve the conflict on her own, so that she might establish herself as a leader to the newcomers. The seasons are changing. Winter is always difficult for you.
She nodded, acknowledging the remark. Next, Purity turned to address Talent. "Even if you have not yet decided to stay, please rest here for the night. The day is growing older, and it seems you've come a long way."
Detachment's face clicked back and forth between Talent and Purity. She watched the exchange of word, each movement of lips. Back and forth, back and forth. Though she was seeing the movement of their mouths she felt as though she wasn't really hearing. A deep hum filled her brain. A sound like a river, like an ocean. The river-like sound of blood rushing through her ears drowned out the rhythms of her surroundings. As for living here? My decision is shifting more twords not. He didn't want to stay.
The rushing grew louder. Her face began to grow hot. She knew her ears were burning red, as they always did when she was upset. His words once again came reverberating back through her head. My decision is shifting more twords not. A prickly feeling, like boiling water on skin, climbed about her ribs. She softly pulled away from Talent. Her eyes vomited fat tears, fat, hot, sluggish tears blundering their way down her face. She let out a a frustrated complaint, dropped her blanket, and ran up toward her room.
Thrusting the door open, she launched herself onto the bed, face down. Tearing off Talent's shirt, she thrust it outward. Babi watched it land on the dresser, which donned hairbrushes and a mirror (these were gifts from Purity in an effort to encourage Tach to be more civilized). Detachment Continued to sob, drenching the poor, unexpecting pillow in tears. She seldom felt attached to people. Her only close friends were Babi and Purity. Of course, there were hazy figures from her deep past that she felt a connection to, but she couldn't clearly remember who they were or how she was related to them.
Why am I so upset? I barely know him. Something small tickled her earlobe. Babi. His way of consoling her was to gently nibble her ear, the way mice did when they groomed one another. Detachment sniffed obnoxiously, startling him slightly. After settling, he continued to comfort her, knowing to not say a word. Her best friend had no need to question her sudden outburst. Though a mere rodent, He understood Tach's feelings better than she.

When Markes saw Tach bolt to one of the coridores he felt very foolish of him self. He knew that she wanted him to stay there. But you had to say that you probebly wont you fool! He also felt that it was his falt. I think you should go after her. Markes agreed with Fenlar. "Will you exucse me?" Before he could get an answer he sprinted off.
From Taches sobbing he found her door. He was about to open it but then desided not to. For a few reasons. First was that he would probebly get slaped in the emotional state. Second was that she probebly took the shirt off. So all of that put together would get him killed. Then he knocked on the door lightly a few times. "Are you ok?" He said in a very soft tone.

Purity's mouth hung open. She looked blankly at each of those still remaining in the hall. from Pandeon, to Restraint, and to Honesty. She gawked uselessly at Honesty, hoping his helpful tendancies would miraculously rewind the past moments. Unfortunately, there was no sudden magic dictating Tach's return. Purity slowly shut her hanging jaw. She bit her lip in an automatic gesture of embarrassment.
"Ah.." she began, directing her words at Restraint. "You will have to excuse Tach. She's quite exhausted." Purity knew that this was altogether untrue, as Tach had boundless energy. She bit her lip again, this time in worry. It could not possibly be a good idea for a man to be left alone with the distraught girl. You know he only means well. Pandeon said. And she did.
Detachment heard the voice coming from the door behind her. She sat up back to the door, suddenly feeling another episode of bizarre embarrassment at her nakedness. Knees pulled to ger chest, she sniffled softly. In answer to his question, she merely gave a cold grunt. A tiny, secret part of her hoped he would come closer anyway.

ooc: Posting from the DS. You guys are HYPERPOSTING. There's been a high number of posts today and nobody has paused long enough for Restraint to get a word in. I'm not impressed. Understandably, it's exciting that everyone is so active, but waiting for ALL players to reply is crucial. Please refrain from posting until Restraint is able.
Thank you.

Upon hearing the now ended conversation between Purity, Talent, Honesty, and Detachment, Restraint decided he should back off of Talent. He did not doubt that he could take the fool but he did not wish to anger anyone in doing so. After Detachment stormed off and Talent followed Restraint fastened his staff to his back and turned to Purity.
He stood for a moment making up his mind as to what his next move should be. On one hand he felt that he should stay to see things out. On the other he also felt that if he stayed there would inevitably be a conflict between himself and that insolent fool Talent. He felt anger welling up inside him. He knew he should calm himself but he could not.
When he finally spoke, the anger had grown to large to counter act. In a loud steady tone Restraint stated " I, my lady, will be elsewhere. IF your wish to locate me you may find me meditating in the clearing near where I first appeared". Restraint turned to leave with out giving Purity a chance to respond. On the way out the door Restraint muttered under his breath a prayer to the divine "Mai divin-au milă de tine ... Si iarta-ma". With that Restraint made his exit.
