Spirituality watched with glazed eyes as Equanimity murmured inaudible words to Innocence. She then looked back at Loyalty, who was acting rather childish by sticking her tongue out at Equanimity. She rolled her eyes as Loyalty dragged her away.
"Are you really my sister? Is Equanimity right?"
"Yes, yes he is. But shut up for a second, I'm trying to concentrate. And move over!" She shoved Loyalty away, who was pressed up against her. Ruka flew over and landed beside Loyalty. Ignore her, Ruka said calmly. She always acts like this when she's about to call spirits.
Spirituality closed her eyes, and seemed to stop breathing. She was searching all through the house for the right type of spirit. She needed one who was kind enough to listen to her, and who had the right kind of mind to be able to see into thoughts, especially linked ones.
There! A spirit one the was one the top floor, wandering around, bored. At the touch of Spirituality's presence, the spirit quickly dropped through all the floors and landed right in front of her, crouching down with his hands on his knees. (only spirit can see him right now, because spirits can decide who they want to be seen by. Ghosty here only wants Spirit to see him~)
He had short-cropped snow-white hair, with piercing silver eyes. He had a scar going across his neck, most likely from when he was killed. He was wearing a plain ocean-blue t-shirt with ripped jeans. His expression was still bored, but it brighten slightly at the sight of Spirituality.
"What can I do for you, sweetheart?" he said with a mocking grin.
"Well, I need you to see what those two are thinking and show me, please. And don't call me sweet heart; my name is Spirituality," she said, smiling shyly.
"Sure thing. And you can call me Dakota." And right after he said that, Dakota vanished completely.
All of a sudden Spirituality was swept up in a stunning vision. She saw Innocence standing on the border of two worlds: one was full of darkness and chaos, while the other was a lush field of golden grass with a lone boy calling her over. And then, as quickly as it appeared, it was gone, and Dakota was in front of her again. "That's all there is to see, sweetheart. But I wonder which path she'll choose, hm?"
Spirituality sighed, slightly disturbed. "Thank you, Dakota. That is all I needed to see and know." She waved her hand, dismissing him.
Dakota dipped his head, but before he disappeared[, he whispered to Spirituality: "You'll be seeing me again sometime, sweetheart!" Then he was gone.
Ruka looked solemnly at Loyalty, saying very quietly: This could get dangerous.
