Why do I feel like this?
What Markes wasn't thinking about was that he is tired. Because he is always a little tired after a morning jog. He also wasn't thinking about that he is angry. Because he always felt a little angry after the war. He was thinking of his feeling of being...human.
Markes was on top of his houses roof. After the war he moved into here only on one condition. He had to not cause any trouble. That was what the land lord said to him. The man never like the immortals but never said it out loud. When Markes first came to the man his first impression was that Markes was an immortal. Though after a second glance he seemed to like other immortals. So he trusted Markes enough to give him the house.
Markes noticed that sort of thing more and more often. It used to be when he was in town he would have people either sizing him up or giving him bad glances. But after a month he swore he saw some smiles. People seemed either more comfortable with him or they felt more of a connection with him. That was when Markes discovered that his feeling of being human is not just him. Also because of his power the feeling gets stronger every day.
Markes came back to reality when the sounds of claws on wood came closer to him. He pulled his head back and saw his life time friend there. Fenlar came closer to Markes and sat down next to him. Markes had a smile on and petted fenlars fer. Fenlar purred to this and looked at his arrogant friend.
You need to be more careful at where you sit and everything thats around you. Fenlar though to Markes.
I was careful. You just need to be more careful. Markes says with a smile on his face. Fenlar glares back at him through his hunters eyes. Then they both just start laughing. They don't even know why, just that it seems right. Then Markes looks off into the distance and the human felling comes back. His face then turns very series while he continues to think of why he has that feeling.
We need to talk about that. Fenlars though distracted Markes. He looks at Fenlar and he cant even think of a response to that. Then he moved closer to the edge of the roof to look at the people going for place to place.
There has to be someone I can recognize or fell a connection to. Just someone to talk to. That was when Markes noticed that he never felt a connection to the humans but they had a connection to him. That would be a good Shakespeare play or something.

ooc: TECHNICALLY, I should be at House Eternity, So I'm not sure how long I can stick around for :S
Detachment had been wandering about since late afternoon the previous day. The sun had gone to sleep and woken again, now inching its way up, up, up, into the crisp morning air. The sky seemed to glow a pale, fuzzy blue-gray. Her naked body shook violently. She gazed down at the flesh casing that housed her soul. The miniature form of a woman had been unchanged for a hundred years. The only warmth was that which radiated from Babi's sleeping body, curled about the left of her neck. Detachment tilted her head, nuzzling the ball of fur with her cheek. The rodent stirred. Picking up its head, he stretched and yawned, displaying long, yellow front teeth. He then perked up his saucer-like ears, tuning in to the morning rhythms of birds chirping.
It's getting colder. Detachment shrugged, jostling the creature's fat body. Sooner or later, the mouse continued, You know you will have to stay indoors. You should really grow your hair out too, it will keep your head warm. Detachment scowled, refusing to grace Babi's wisdom with an answer. However, she did know he was right. At this time of year, she almost felt as though she wouldn't mind staying in the House with the others. Something about the winter caused her spirit to crumple, making her feel depressed and defeated.
The two stood upon a slight outcrop of rock, sprouting from the side of a hill. They overlooked a small group of houses, nestled at the base of the slope. In one hand, Detachment held a dagger, and in the other, a stick, which she had earlier stolen from a tree. She had been using the stick to practice spelling out the only word she knew how to write. T-A-C-H, the dirt before her read. Her name. Purity had shown her Detachment how to draw out each letter in her abbreviated name. Since then, she had practied it religiously.
Playing with Babi's tail, hanging over her shoulder, Detachment surveyed the dwellings below. She grasped her makeshift pencil in one hand, her dagger between her teeth. Clumsily, she lowered herself down the rock, earning her bare skin several scrapes. Tumbling the rest of the way down the slope, she finally came to a halt, bumping her bald head off the earth. Rubbing her smooth scalp, she brushed the dirt off her body, hands sweeping over the moderate curve of her waist, her flat stomach. After regaining an upright position, she began to wander between the houses. Most of the village appeared to be still asleep, not eager to feel the cool morning mist's sharp embrace.
After awhile of aimless strolling, Detachment spied a figure atop one of the building's roofs. Curious, she began to scale the wall of the building. Hauling herself up, she positioned her unclothed form a meter or so behind what she now realized was a man and his summon. Knees drawn up to her chest and arms folded over her small breasts, her green gaze pierced the back of his skull. Clutching her dagger in her mouth, she waited for him to turn and acknowledge her.

Before Markes decided to head off to his room he felt an inhuman presence behind them. He did not know who it was only that the person was an immortal. But that was all he knew. So he turned around slowly then instantly turned away.
Markes was then for sure knew that the person was a child and a girl. And on that point he had to turn away because he knew that she was naked from just looking at her side. He knew from experience that if looked any more the least harm that would come to him would be a heavier slap.
He could feel his face get a little warm. Fenlar was just sitting there and laughing at Markes. You should have known that she was there! Markes glared at him with the thought of skinning him. You should have told me that she was naked! Now go and get her some clothes from the room.
Fenlar went off and jumped from roof to roof back to the house. Markes watched him go and tilted his head back to make sure that he only saw her head. With a nerves smile he sighed.
"So whats your name? And I mean you faction name."
why does it feel like you always introduce your characters naked? Edit by Seya: I KNOW, RIGHT?! Jeez Pandie you're just ASKING to have pedophiles. Pfft.

ROFLROFLROFLROFL! Uhmm... well, Tach is almost always naked, 'cos she doesn't have any possessions... as for Purity... YOU LIKED IT! Detachment watched his summon scamper off, wondering where it was going. Resting her chin on her knees, her green eyes sparkled, amused at how awkward she had made the man feel. She removed the dagger from her mouth, laying it beside her so that she might speak. "Detachment, but people call me..." She paused, using her stick to trace T-A-C-H on the surface where they sat, "Tah-shuh", she said proudly, emphasizing the syllables. Babi, still perched on her shoulders, sneezed.
Remembering the little critter, she took him down from where he nestled. Cradling him in her cupped hands, she wriggled towards her new acquaintance. "This's Babi", she shoved the mouse at his face. "Him's my summon", she bragged. Studying the man, she wondered why she hadn't seen him in the House before. Remember your manners. Ask his name. Detachment grunted. "Do you have a name?"

Who said that... Markes had to grin at that. He laughed a little. She had to mind of a child but the power of woman. He could tell by the name that she was a virtue. An other one of my new faction. He held out his hand to her.
"My name is Markes. But my faction name is Talent." He pointed off tords where Fenlar was coming back from. He noticed that there were some clothes in his mouth. And very large ones at that. "That is my greatest friend and summon Fenlar. We have been together ever sense I have been here. And he has protected me ever sense."
You are being very modest my friend. Markes laughed at that because it is him that usually protects Fenlar. "Oh you don't mind if I get you some clothes to put on do you?"pls dont try to ruin Talents life...

Detachment clutched Babi close. Everyone insisted she wore clothes. She growled slightly. "Don't wear clothes. They make me unhappy," Was her defiant statement. Tach! Babi scolded, No need to be so rude. He's doing this as a kind gesture.
Eying the clothing, she glowered. Upon closer inspection, however, she saw that the clothing appeared quite loose. Wearing something large and baggy probably wouldn't be so uncomfortable. And after all, she didn't have to wear them forever. She would merely be borrowing them. After a final apprehensive moment, she stuck out her hand to receive the tunic and slacks.
ooc: I'm assuming that it's men's clothing.

"Your welcome. If you don't mind me asking what are you doing around here? I never would have expected A Virtue to even visit here." Markes felt a little uncomfortable at her statement but when she saw that they were very large she became a little more calm.
At this point Markes knew that this little girl was not as young as she looked. What told him that he did not know. It could have been his human sense or his own intuition. He decided not to think about it too much.
Markes then noticed that Fenlar was panting a little. So he decided to rub Fenlars fur to give him some comfort. "Oh come on it wasn't that bad right?" You try to jump across buildings while trying not to get attention! Markes though about that for a second. Actually that would be fun! Fenlar gave I light growl at Markes.
Well they are very well washed workout clothes but still very large for Detachment.

Accepting the clothes, Detachment stood up turning her back to the man. She felt suddenly shy and embarrassed, though she could not fathom why. She squirmed her way into the shirt. It draped over her body, hiding her figure. The neckline swooped, only covering one shoulder. The other was left completely exposed, the shirt hanging uselessly halfway down her bicep. It was actually quite comfortable, and it provided a barrier between her skin and the chilly air. The shirt ended about mid-thigh, so she decided to leave the pants be. It's fair this way, she thought to herself, He gets half of what he wants, and I get half of what I want.
Remembering the manners Purity had attempted to teach her, she turned to face the man. Eyes lifting to his face, she said "Thank you very much." She offered him a bright, toothy smile, hoping her earlier rudeness might be pardoned. "I like exploring. Went walking about yesterday, ended up here today. I mostly live with Purity in House Eternity." She stopped, realizing that she might be missed. She continued slowly, "Should prob'ly get home soon." Detachment drifted off again, studying her new friend's blue eyes. "Maybe you'd come with? Just for a visit if you like. There's lots like us at the House."

Markes was still a little uncomfortable with her only putting the shirt on but it was better than nothing. He moved beside Tech so not to be in front of her if she pulls her knees up. Fenlar gave a chuckle in his mind and muttered something about being sinful.
"Oh... Her..." Once Purity was named Markes remembered that there was talk that she was the one that started the last war. And that she was planning to start another one. There was also a rumor among the humans that is was her summon that started the war. So Markes had little interest in talking with her.
Markes thought for a few seconds about it. "Sure, why not? I have not thing else to do around here in town until tomorrow anyway. Would you want to go now?" What are your intentions about doing this? Markes was right there wanting to sucker punch Fenlar for that. But because Tech was right there he couldn't.

Detachment's brain buzzed with excitement. She couldn't wait to bring her new friend home. Next to her, Babi's whiskers twitched nervously. What will Purity say to this, I wonder. Detachment cuddled the little beast consolingly. He had a point. Purity might already be upset at the fact that she had not come home last night. Bringing home a stranger could be pushing it. However, the man seemed of very benign intention. While he appeared as though he might easily harm her, he hadn't laid a hand on Detachment.
Answering his question, she grunted, replying "Prob'ly should." The sun was getting dangerously high. Placing Babi on her shoulder, she grabbed her dagger. Standing up, her eyes scanned the horizon. It shouldn't take as long to get back as it did to get to where she was now, provided there was no dawdling involved. "Just follow me,"She grinned. "It's far, but you an do it, eh?"

With a smile on his face Markes said the thing he has wanted to say ever sense he got here. "Try too keep up!" Then he went off at an unnatural speed. While he was leaping from roof to roof he counted how many steps it took to get from one roof to another.
It always took 3. The first one is the landing. The second is to get to the other side of the roof. Then the third is to leap off to the other roof. All the while it only took Fenlar 2 steps because of his legs that were built for leaping. But they were still going at the same pace.
It didn't take too long to get to the edge of the village. Once they got there they stopped and turned around and waited for Tach to catch up to them if she was behind. And when she got there Markes would do the polite thing and help her down. But he also did this because he didn't know the rest of the way to the please.

After scrambling after the agile man, Detachment accepted a hand in climbing down from her perch. She felt a slight dent in her pride upon seeing that there was someone so greatly more athletic than herself. Landing on the soft earth, She again studied the sky. Hopefully, the would make decent time. Babi ground his teeth together discontentedly. Warn me, please, he chided, before you do that again. She chuckled to herself and made a jerking motion with her head, notifying Talent to follow. They took off into the distance.
After a while of running, Tach began to tire. She saw that they had come to a river, and darted off into it's current, praying Talent would follow. The water embraced her with its icy arms. Her feet quivered beneath the violent surface. She descended into the babbling waters. Several minutes later, she came up. She trotted back toward Talent, a fish between her her teeth. Spitting it out and into her hand, she offered it to him.

Markes stopped when he saw that Tach leaped into the river that they came by. He desisted to go beside the river and wait for her. I believe I am beginning to like her. Markes smiled at Fenlaras he put his feet in the water. In what way?
Markes looked to where Tach went in the river to make sure that she wasn't coming out anytime soon. Then he slapped Fenlar in the back of the head. He only chuckled at that. I know I deserved that. Markes had to smile at that then he heard Tech starting to get out of the water.
Markes was lucky that the shirt that she wore wasn't the type of shirt that you were able to see threw when it got wet. But what did make him uncomfortable was sticking to her body. He had to make sure that he didn't look down. Then he saw that she had a fish in her mouth.
Then Tach gave it to Markes. He gave her a very proud smile. "So what will be the fate of this fish might I ask?" Fenlar purred a little. I will eat it you you wont. Markes gave an annoyed glace at Fenlar. Then looked back at Tach.

Detachment beamed up at him. She was quite pleased with her catch. The smile Talent gave her caused a warm feeling to spread from her toes to her forehead despite the cold air. "I caught it for you", she boasted. Remember, Tach, many people fear eating raw meat. She nodded to Babi in agreement.
"S'okay, I eat them all the time," she said, licking her lips. "Here," she grunted, snatching the fish back. She slapped it onto the ground and pulled out her dagger. One quick motion sliced the fish's belly open. Entrails spilled onto Detachment's feet. She removed the head, tail, scales and bones, leaving to clean cutlets of meat behind. She handed one to Talent, sucking greedily on the other.

Markes was amazed at the way Tach held her knife. Keep your mouth closed. Fenlar had his tung sticking out and was drooling. I can say the same for you. But Markes was more interested in the knife play than anything else.
Markes accepted the bit of fish with a slight bow and a great smile. "Why thank you very much. You don't mind if Fenlar takes some do you?" But he was already on his way to the fish. Markes just laughed.
Markes took a little bite of the meat. "This is pretty good. But it needs something...Ah ha!" What he found was a strange bush next to a tree. He went over to it and bent down. He picked a leaf and crushed it in his hand. He took another bite.
"Ah there we go that is great. If you dint mind me asking how did you learn to do that with the knife?"
