Ever since awakening in this world, Meek had felt strange. He could feel that he was more than just human, somehow more powerful. All that he knew, was that there was great conflict in this world, and he wished to do his part to resolve it. Sadly, he felt his usual peaceful solutions would not suffice to end the fray, so he began training. He trained for days at a time with a staff, remembering how he had done so in life with his brother. For some reason, the thought of his brother brought him great pain and sorrow, but he could not recall why. He began exploring this new world for some time with his new companion, a dove by the name of Zandir. Zandir told him of this world and it's strife. This only strengthened Meek's resolve to do his best to bring an end to this hatred and violence. He would use persuasion where possible, but if not, he would fight his way out. His travels brought him to a calm brook. For the first time since arriving in this land, he felt oddly at peace. "What is this place?" Meek asked in awe of the sight he beheld. This is a place where virtues, such as yourself, come to feel renewed and calm "This place feels amazing! Zandir, we shall stay here for a while, I feel that the atmosphere will provide me with wonderful thoughts on how to bring peace to this land!" After travelling for so long, Meek felt that they deserved the rest. He took this time to bathe in the water and relax.

Trust, robe on and hood pulled over his face, stood concealed in the nearby trees. There was a virtue in the brook, but it wasn't one Trust remembered. This one had not been there when Trust left all those years ago. Meek was his name--Trust knew that, but still did not know how. It was something that had been happening for quite some time now.
With Meek was a small bird--Trust guessed a pigeon, or something similar in size. If Izzy had been there, he would have been able to tell his master what the bird was. Alas, Trust had no idea where his lobster-companion was. That was happening too much for Trusts' comfort.
He didn't know why, but Trust liked Meek. There was something about the boy. As of yet, no one knew Trust had returned to Desarith. This new virtue might as well be the first.
Without thinking on it any longer, Trust stepped out from the trees and stood in the general direction of the brook, hoping to the goddess that he was looking in the right way. "Hile, Meek!" Trust shouted, using a greeting he had picked up from a few travelers in his travels. "The Wanderer, Trust, greets you! Will you return my greeting?"

Meek was somewhat taken aback by the sudden sound of this stranger. He did, however sound to be a friend, though in a world such as this, one had to be careful. Meek also wondered how this "Trust" knew his name. Was this some power that he possesed? Either way, if he was an enemy, Meek would do his best to deal with him.
"Greetings to you as well Trust. I feel that you are not a threat to me and because of that, I welcome you to my camp."
Meek got out of the water and dressed. He then gestured Trust towards the fire pit and sat down.
"Come and sit! We are fellow travelers in these lands and due to the wonderful lack of hostility, I assume you are a virtue."
Meek lit the fire.
"I may be new to this world, but I am prepared to make a difference, no matter how small. Whether you need a traveling partner, or merely some food for the night, I would be happy to help, so please tell me, is there anything you may require my assistance with?"

OOC: Our text is the same color. Hahahaha.
Meek moved quite a bit. That was easy enough to tell. He seemed friendly as well, inviting Trust to share his campfire. Trust graciously accepted the offer and took a seat opposite his host.
Meek began to speak about his plans of change and difference making. These plans seemed similar to Trust; they seemed very similar indeed. In Meek, Trust saw a kindred spirit. Someone who was kind, though more cautious then Trust. Trust smirked.
"As you guessed, I am a virtue, though I'll admit it has been some time since anyone has called me such. If you had not noticed it, I'll tell you now that I am blind, for some people seem to miss it."
Trust paused, unsure how to continue. The crackling of the fire, louder to Trust then most, was reassuring in a wild, beautiful way.
"As for assistance, I need none, but know that we are fellow travelers in more ways than you think. You have never been here, while for me, it has been years since I have seen Desarith. Everythting is... different, I suppose. Tell me, have you seen anything of the other virtues?"

OOC: Awesome ;D
Meek was quite happy that he had found a new ally. Zandir was fair company, but it was very nice to have another human around (if he could still call them that).
"Now there's something I cannot assist you with my good man. Since arriving here, its mostly been only my dove Zandir, and myself. We have seen the odd virtue along the way of course, but most were unaware of out presence. Zandir scouts ahead and reports back to me. If anyone is in distress, we shall come to their aid, however, there has been no need as of yet. I'd hate to bother them with no reason, so I've not made any attempts at socializing."
Meek gazed into the fire, and he suddenly felt great grief. It was a similar sensation to when he had remembered his brother. It occurred to him that he may not be alone in these strange flashes of emotion.
"As I've said Trust, I haven't been here that long. I realize that this is the world beyond death, but I'm having some troubles remembering the world before death. At times I'll think of something, or catch a certain scent and I'll suddenly be full of sorrow, or joy, but I can't remember why. Does this ever happen to you? Is this normal for beings of this world?"

For quite a while, Trust didn't respond. In truth, he wasn't sure how to respond. He had nearly forgotten what it had been like to be a human. He remembered his name had been Kyle, and he remembered Izzy had been with him long before he became a virtue. Past that, however, there was little he remembered besides some books he had read.
Feelings, though, feelings that felt like deja vu... those were common enough. Thoughts and emotions that must have meant something in life.
Trust picked up a nearby stick and began drawing circles in the dirt. Just circles; nothing else. Not that he could see them anyway.
"To be honest, I don't remember much of my human life. It didn't last long, I guess. I think most virtues--and probably the sins, too--would prefer to forget their past lives. Though... maybe they don't mean to."
Trust threw a stick he had been drawing circles in the dirt with into the fire. It crackled and popped in return. Trust grinned at this.
"Sometimes, though, feelings do return. Feelings that have no place being with me. Laughter, pain, joy, sorrow... the things you've said, yes. Sometimes its a scent, more often, though, it comes from absolutely nothing."

OOC: Whoops! Accidentally called you Truth last time! My bad!
Meek pondered this for a moment. So he wasn't the only one, that was somewhat of a relief. He thought about what Trust had said about being better off not knowing. This was probably true. That life was over, and anything from it could only serve to distract from the task at hand. But still, he couldn't help but wonder what had happened. From what he could gather his life had been quite happy. What had gone wrong?
The sound of a stick cracling in the fire brough him back to the present.
"Well, it's nice to know that I'm not alone in that. Anyway, you had said that you've away from here for quite some time. What brings you back?"

OOC: I fixed it. Hope you don't mind. ^^;
"What brings you back?" Trust's new friend asked him.
For a moment, Trust didn't respond. Then a big grin grew over his face, and the grin evolved into laughter. Oh great, Trust thought. Now he thinks I'm probably nuts. The laughter evaporated. The grin remained.
Trust licked his lips, unsure of his words. "Sometimes, you know, I just get urges to do things. Without reason, without anything causing them. That was why I left. I didn't know a battle was coming, but I left anyway. Then the battle came... but you probably don't know about that battle. I don't think you've been in this life that long..."
Trust paused, thinking of the past. He wondered what would have happened if he would have remained. He thought of his friend, Pride, the sin who hadn't been that bad of a person.
"Its like that. I don't know why I'm back, but I feel like something big is going to happen. Like the Goddess is going to need me. Maybe I'm wrong, but if I can help my fellow virtues, I'm going to."

OOC: Not at all! Thanks!
Meek was somewhat taken aback by the sudden laughter that Trust had erupted into. He was sure that it was merely humourous due to circumstances which he had no knowledge of. Though after hearing Trust's explination, Meek was awash with respect for the man.
"I believe that the hand of fate is guiding you where you are meant to be. Perhaps you were not supposed to fight in that battle. Had you fought, you may have died too soon to fulfill the purpouse that has brought you back now. If there truly is something grand in the works, you may be integral to the outcome! This is amazing! And to think that you have such a sense of duty to the Goddess! You sir, are an inspiration!"
Meek looked at Trust and saw that he was giving him a strange look. Meek then realized that he was now standing and had probably gotten a little to engaged with his speech. He then proceeded to compose himself and sat back down.
"Yes..um, well. I apologise for the outburst, he he. But seriously, if there really is something big going on, I'd like to help you with your part in it. I may be inexperienced, but I'll train my body and mind tirelessly to attain the power I need to be of any use. I'd prefer a solution without any conflict, but I know that mere words cannot solve many things. It's true that I devote much time to pacifistic solutions. But this does not mean that I will not fight when the time comes for it!"

Trust's face was now an amused grin, but more than just amused. It was also grateful as well as happy. He felt at peace. Here was another pacifist, just like him. This pacifist also understood one of the golden rules.
"Don't feel bad for fighting, my new friend." Trust started. "I don't know who told me it, but someone once said 'The road to peace is filled with stones'. In our quest for peace, sometimes we have no choice but violence, but only against those who are violent in their nature,"
Unsure of the look of Meek's face, Trust took a second to think. Then resumed speaking.
"I'd be glad to have you as a companion. The first thing we should do is probably seek out the goddess and see what needs done. Then... well, let's just say I have a task I need to complete that I don't think the goddess would be too happy with..."
OOC: I won't be around for the next few days. Just to tell you.

Meek was thrilled! He finally had a kindred spirit with which to fight the evils of this world. He felt that fate could not have been kinder to him.
"Very well Trust! Lead the way!"

For a few moments, Trust didn't move. He was too busy thinking, planning, and considering. His loyalty to the goddess had never been great, though he always held her in high regard. His services could be of a great advantage to her, though his other purpose...
He stood up. "Have you ever met a Sin, Meek? I would suppose not, since you haven't met a virtue before me." he paused to grin. "Well, we're going to go find an old friend of mine. The sins need to know what's coming. We might not like each other, but the virtues and the sins were never in open warfare... at least, I don't think they have been."
Trust paused again, and the voice of an old friend who Trust had once fought against flashed through his mind. "I just wonder where Pride is."

Meek was somewhat confused at first. He had been under the impression that the sins were inherently evil. He then thought that if humans could choose their path, why not the beings of this world?
"I assume that this Pride is a sin then. If we could gain his hand in our cause it could help persuade other sins, and unite us. Even if just a few, we would still be lessening the aggression between each other and dealing with more pressing matters."
Meek paused for a moment. He found himself wondering what the Goddess would think of this. Trust had said that it was somehing that she would not be pleased by. Meek wondered if going along with this would make him an enemy of the Goddess. However, Trust seemed to be getting along just fine. Meek decided that what Trust was doing was in the best interest of the world. He let out a brief sigh.
"Where do you think we can find him?"
