ooc: Ah, first post. I don't think I've done anything wrong, but if I have, go right on ahead and tell me. Posting welcome to anyone.
Apathy is a strange feeling, or lack thereof. To be entirely void of emotion makes for a dull and adventure-less life. It was almost painful to survive in such a state of living, if it could even be called a life. But this was exactly what Apathy did - he went day after day without feeling a single thing for anyone or anything around him. What was worse was that he could sense the start of a feeling; he could almost care, almost love.
Almost feeling was worse, he thought, than not feeling at all. He could only experience the brief beginnings of emotion and it might have torn him up inside, had he the ability to care. As it was, unfortunately, he was left with only a nonexistent passion in his chest.
Such was the case that he often neglected to remember where he was or where he was going. As the Sin of Apathy, he found that it was difficult to keep track of his placement in the world when he cared so little for his surroundings. Presently, the short and scrawny being was very unaware of where he was - or at least, what the city was called. It was quite apparent that he was in the downtown area of some unnamed city.
With a yawn, Apathy slowly glanced this way and that, searching for someone who might be able to tell him just where he was. This place had not rekindled any of the emotion from his previous lifetime, and so, he was inclined to move on. Perhaps the next city he stumbled upon could provide him with even a slight spark of sentiment.

Animosity was wondering around the downtown of Indafell, angered as usual.
"I hate it when you get that look on your face," Ffion complained.
"What," he muttered angrily, "the one where I hate everyone and every living thing for existing."
"Yeah, that one."
"Well, God damn it, I'm allowed to!" The fox jumped back a little, startled. Animosity stop and knelt down, petting Ffion.
"I'm sorry," he cooed softly, "you know I don't hate you, and you know what I've been through."
"Yes, I know," she replied, moving closer to him, "but please try to keep a more open mind. I mean, don't you regret getting so mad and leaving when Hypocrisy wasn't there for a moment?" Animosity sighed and looked down. He did regret just jumping the gun and leaving, but there wasn't much he could do now.
"Well, if I she her again in the future, I'll be sure to tell her I'm sorry for leaving, and ask if she would still wish to travel with me, or just catch up a little."
"That's my boy." Ffion smiled joyfully at Animosity as he stood back up and continued on. As they walked, the fox noticed and small boy, looking lost, if, not at least a little distanced from the world.
"I think you should go talk to that boy," Ffion said, flicking her nose in the boy's direction. "It'll be good for you." Sighing, he nodded and walked towards the boy.
He came to a stop in front of the boy, then, being as calm and friendly as he could be, he though up the most unoriginal and simple thing he could think of to say.
"Hello," he said, "my name is Animosity - what's yours?"

The small boy, after a few minutes of staring at his surroundings, heaved a sigh and started slowly forward. With no one in the immediate vicinity, Apathy had quickly decided that he would have to look further down the beaten path.
Evante, who kept quiet most of the time unless bored or sensing danger, stalked beside her small partner protectively. Though she was often more aware of their surroundings than Apathy himself, she liked to see him do things for himself. It was an accomplishment when something, be it a task or another person, could keep his attention for more than five minutes. So far, so good.
After a while of walking, no more than ten minutes, Apathy slowed to a stop and, patting Evante's soft furry head, yawned lazily. "You know," he said after the yawn, "I think it would be easier to just walk right out of town - it doesn't look like there's anyone around to help." It was a bit odd, how few people wandered the streets. Perhaps it was a ghost town? But Apathy was sure he had seen a few people here and there, though they had quickly shuffled into their quaint little homes when they had taken notice of Apathy and Evante. The summon made it quite obvious that the small boy was a Sin, but he didn't mind. At least he wasn't crowded around complete strangers. But then... if would have been much easier to find his way around if there were a few people to ask for directions.
"No," Evante suddenly purred. "Look."
Apathy glanced down at his partner and then followed her gaze. She was looking at a dark-haired man with bright eyes. And beside him? A uppity little fox.
"A sin." Apathy glanced back down to the sand coloured lion to see that she had taken to resting on her haunches just beside him. Her tail twitched this way and that with what Apathy imagined must have been anxiousness. Neither of the two said anything for a few moments after that. Evante watched the Sin and his fox while Apathy wondered idly if this person would be able to help them. When he had thought of no reason to keep him from asking, he took a slow step forward, only to feel a slight pressure just below his left hip.
Glancing down, he saw that Evante was gesturing toward the man once more. Upon looking for the second time, Apathy noticed that the man was approaching. "Oh."
Apathy stood and waited, almost awkwardly, blinking up at the taller figure as he was approached. When the man introduced himself as Animosity, Apathy thought inclined to do the same. "Apathy," he said first, in answer to the question asked. His voice was not as monotone as one might have thought -- it was boyish and even pleasant to the ear, though a bit more relaxed than your average fourteen year old boy.
"This is Evante," he added, patting the lion's head once more. And after another moment, "Do you know the name of this town? We seem to have misplaced ourselves..."

"Pleasure to meet you, Apathy," Animosity replied. "This is Indafell. I myself don't know a whole lot about it, in my previous life, I had lived on more of the outskirts, or simply didn't travel around much. But, I believe it's not too difficult to navigate the area.
"But what brings a young boy like you to a place like this? Simply lost you say, that begs the question to if you can remember your past life at all." He bent in low, fairly close to Apathy's face.
"I shouldn't make assumptions, but if you had a poor life, you should be glad for that; sometimes I wish that I didn't have to remember all the hate and pain in my past. But, at the same time, it would mean I would not be the same person I am now, and I thank and curse whatever god created me for that." Standing back up, Animosity looked around lazily.
"So," he said, scratching his head, "what is it that you're looking for, or planning to do?"
And then Animosity decided a long time ago that this was going no where and left.
