Pain, after getting Fault some clothes and showing her around, ended up by herself in the sparring pit. There were a few target dummies around the side, and she stared one down, pretending it was a Virtue in disguise. She'd had all this pent up rage inside her for three years after losing Manipulation, and she hadn't even expressed it. Why hadn't she realized? Was she that used to being alone in the world? She looked down beside her where Suna sat, licking her fur and purring softly. She wasn't completely alone. She smiled, and stared back to the target. "Your mine." She pushed off the ground, lunging towards the dummy with sword raised over her right shoulder. Suna coughed as the dust from under Pain's boot dirtied her fur again. "Hey! Watch it!" But Pain was too happy in the lunge, she didn't acknowledge anything else, just the thrill of the attack. She sliced, cutting the dummy's chest open, stuffing falling into the dirt like guts. She landed in a perfect cat stance, and jumped to the next dummy, slicing its fake arm clean off, sending it flying into the air. She landed again, and watched as her summon dove into the air and caught the arm before it reached the ground, landing lightly on her feet with a soft thump. They looked at each other and laughed, Suna running up to jump into Pain's arm. They were happy here, and Pain couldn't explain why. She could feel Suna's love. It was strong. And it was real. They rolled around in the dirt for a few minutes, playing and laughing until Pain stopped, sitting in the dirt, panting. "Okay, you win, you win!" She laughed, petting Suna on the head. She purred, and they enjoyed each others company. Suddenly, Pain's face calmed, and a mellow almost sad visage overcame her. Suna's smile disappeared too, and she looked in the direction Pain was looking. There in the distance, just outside the ring, was the outline of a man. He was young, strong, and wore a cloak. They both knew who it was, and both stared, wondering where he was and what he was doing. Pain stared into the mirages face, and Suna looked to his legs where sat a handsome fox shadow, grinning down at them. "Where do you think they are Pain? Suna asked, crawling into her lap and curling up. Pain didn't look down but kept staring, her expression sad but hopeful. She stared until the mirage slowly vanished, and she looked down. "I don't know Suna, i wish I did, but I just don't know..." They both sat there in the sand, reminiscing about the past and times long ago.

Murder quietly came into the sparing area without so much as the noise of foot steps. He was very good at sneaking around. Because if he wasn't he wouldn't have been able to do what he did in the past. Thinking of the past was something Murder rarely did. And when he did it was never very nice. The only good days in his life were the days as a trainee before he became one of the Red Daggers. The one person he was actually friends with. The only friend he has ever had. Markes. Tarna pocked him with one of her legs. You need to forget about him.
I know. But I can never completely forget bout him. Tarna hissed. He was nothing but trouble. He was a vagabond. A no good brat. Murders voice darkened. But he was my brother. Tarna was ready to bite him. You were never bothers of blood! If you do not stop this now I will kill you. Murder knew that she would never do that. But she would make him bleed a bit. And he didn't want there to be blood inside the sins home.
Murder watched the girl named Pain use her sword. And he had to admit that she was very good at using it. Then an idea popped into his head. When she was on the floor he decided it was his time to spar with her. He walked out of the shadows and came up to the girl. He held his hand out to her for leverage to get up. He gave her a nice of a smile as he possible could give. Which wasn't very good. "Do you want to spar with me?" He was interested in see up close if the sword was better than the dagger.

Pain looked up in alarm as Murder walked up her. Spar? Had he said he wanted to spar? Pain gave a huge grin, looking over at Suna and winked. She was going to enjoy fighting someone who actually fought back. "Well hellol Murder, Pain said, getting up off the ground and brushing herself off,"I'd love to spar with you." She gave a formal bow to an opponent, and brought her sword beside her body. "Before we begin though, summons are to sit out or be included?"She said this out of consideration for Tarna, who was clearly at a slight disadvantage when compared to Suna. Cat's eat spiders. She awaited his decision. If it came down to it, Suna would not hold back.

Murder chuckled. "I would rather not have your summon die. So I would say no to including summons." Tarna was feeling proud of herself. She looked over to Pains summon. I am sorry. No offense to you. Murder raised an eyebrow at Tarna. "Translation: I can kill you if I felt like it." Murder was smiling.
Tarna jumped off his shoulder and while going to the closes wall did a scolding flick of the head. Murder laughed. Then sent a personal thought to Tarna. I love you too. Tarna shook her head. Everyone does. Go and play.
Murder looked back at Pain and gave a quick glimpse of her sword. He noticed that it could be used at both close and long. So Murder took one long dagger from his waist. Then one short one from the hidden spot on his left ankle. He looked back at Pain and his face was totally changed. It became expressionless. He held his long dagger forward and his short one pionted in the other direction and at his side. He was waiting for Pain to make the first move.

Suna hissed at Tarna. "Don't be so sure little furry one. I've faced much larger things then you and come out alive." The memory of fighting Lust came back to Pain's mind, and she felt even more ready. "Relax Suna, just go sit on the side and watch." Pain turned her attention back to Murder, who had drawn two daggers, one long and one shorter. Intresting. Pain had never faced someone wielding two weapons before. 'Though,' she thought, 'It's probably not as hard as facing someone who has an ever-changing weapon in their hands.' The thought of Manipulation pulled her into a more serious mood, and she focused. In her hands her sword glowed bright red, and she smiled. The four words in the ancient language shawn bright and the word victory flashed into her mind, imprinting itself on her short term light sensors. She closed her eyes for a brief second and saw the word, Victory. She opened her eyes and lunged, aiming high for Murder's middle. The only sound that she made was the lift of dust off the pit floor.

Murders vacant eyes saw Pains thrust. So he charged at her. When the blade came half a foot to his chest the short dagger blocked it off to the side. There was now an opening. But instead of stabbing at her with the daggers he kept his dagger connected to Pains sword. He continued to move in on her.
He was tempted to bash into her but then decided to give her another chance to attack. It was only fair. So when he was past the blade he moved his other arm up. He had his long dagger aimed at the point in her arm where most of the tenants were. He knew that if she was as good as she thought she was she would stay a good distance away from him. It was the final mistake many other people made. It was the last mistake they ever made.

Pain felt the metal dagger against her sword clang. He was pretty good, but she was good too. Pain watched the other hand come up, the long dagger poised in his grip. He was fast too. Why hadn't he just bashed into her? Didn't make much sense. But she didn't care. She saw the blade going for her tender arm, and she made a quick move. Having her left foot forward and left arm lunged with the sword in it's grasp, she lets go of the sword. With both arms and right leg she swings around clockwise and ducks, attempting to take out Murder's legs with her right foot. She swings in a complete 360, landing in a low crouch, and catching the sword with her right hand before it hits the ground. (If you have trouble imagining this I can describe it better if you want.) With this done, she quickly pulls her right arm in and does a beautiful front roll over her sword arm, landing on her feet about three feet away, up and facing Murder.

Murder took a long step back before Pains foot could trip him. He saw her do a fantastic show and moved away. An eye brow lifted. What she did may have been a little too flashy but it worked. Now was his time to plan out what to do. At first he was a little stumped. Then his eyes fell on the sunlight on the floor. He looked back up at Pain. A smile cracked his lips. He took a step forward out of the sun. But his foot landed right behind Pain. Murder had shadow walked into her shadow.
Now for Murder sparing isn't a test to see who is better at making the other give up. For him it is who can fight longer. So as he was bringing his daggers to there target he scraped them against the ground. He aimed his long dagger at Pains arm pit. While his short one at her hip. This was just to keep her off balance. He wondered how long she would fight for.

Pain was surprised to see Murder put his foot through the ground. That mnust've been his power. Suddenly she felt something knock her from behind, and she fell backwards, rolling in a backroll to look back at her opponent. His foot had come through her shadow and kicked her! "So your a shadow walker, nice," she said with slight awe in her voice. It was good that he'd shown her his power early. She'd been wondering what it was this whole time. At this thought, Pain quickly took off her gloves and put them in the back pocket of her black pants. The grip on her sword was easier with them off anyways. She turned back to Murder and raised her sword. She had to watch out for that power, it was nasty. If she stayed in the middle of the ring, she would only have her own shadow to worry about. And she kept the sun at her back, then the only shadow she would have would be right in front of her. She did just this. Quickly to avoid his attacks to her hip and arm, she moved to where the sun was to her back. It felt warm on her exposed neck. "Nice move, she complimented,"But I have my own tricks up my sleeve." She giggled a little on the inside. She wasn't wearing a shirt with sleeves today.

Murder didn't respond to what Pain said he was already on the move. He was charging at her. He had his daggers to his side. It would look like he was going in to stab. But his objective was very different. He came up in front of her and stepped into her shadow. Then stepped into the shadow next to the sunlight and to Pains side.
Murder had been trained in all uses of daggers. Not just melee attacking. The thing he was second at to assassinating was dagger throwing. So what was unnoticed to Pain was that his small dagger was actually used for throwing. So when he appeared out of the shadow to Pains side he threw his dagger at her hands. He didn't like fighting her with that sword. So like what Tarna says. When you don't like something. Remove it in anyway possible.Murder hoped she would drop the sword or at least move it out of the way.

OOC. Sorry I don't quite get where he is. Is he off to the side of the ring? Like a good few feet away? Or is he right up close? I'm confused.

OOC. Ok that's what I thought just wanted to make it clear.
Pain had him now. He was lunging straight for her, and she could slice him in two. Well, theoretically. Suddenly, he sank into her shadow, just as she jumped to grab onto him. She tumbled onto the floor, only taking a moment of shock to rebound off the dirt onto her feet. But where she had been was not where she was now, so she heard a dagger whiz by her in the air about a foot from hands. She turned to see Murder in the shadows. 'He must've thrown it at me. But I wasn't there anymore.' She smiled at this thought, and lunged again for Murder, this time trying to predict where he would appear next. She knew he wouldn't be there when she struck, so her focus wasn't on her lung, but where it would take her next. "I know I'm going to hit you this time!" she said with a grin.

Murder cursed himself. He didn't predict that she would attack him while he was coming up to her. He took out a long dagger. It was time to end the fight. Mostly because he was running out of energy from doing one shadow jump after another. When he saw Pain lunge for him he was ready to move out of the way and attack her from an other angle. But he noticed something.
She wasn't looking directly at him. Then he knew that she was trying to predict where he was going to go next. So he decided on doing the unpredictable. He stood there. She came up at him and he didn't move until her sword was in arms reach. Then his right dagger came out and pushed her sword to the side. Then he came to the outside of her body and a little to the side.
With his other dagger he aimed to place on her throat. Not to kill her. But to stop her. If this didn't work then he might have to give up. And he didn't want to do that on the first day of being here.

Pain was slightly taken aback by the fact that Murder didn't shadow move. But she was only taken aback for a moment. She quickly analyzed the situation and decided what to do. His long dagger had pushed her sword aside, but that was okay with her. She saw his other hand bringing another dagger up towards her throat, and she did the first thing that came to mind. Pain's sword had been knocked to the side and Murder was at her open side, but that was okay too. She brought the sword back and swung her body, blocking the dagger with it. With her right hand, she grabbed Murder's hand in an iron grip. That was it, that was what she was looking for. Pain released her power, the lightning bolts flashing on her arm with energy. With her mind, Pain turned on his pain receptors in his body, making them so hay-wire. She didn't push it to the max, but made it hurt a lot. It rippled from the arm straight up into the core, where it propagated out into all his limbs and head. She hoped that that would do it. Maybe not, but she knew it probably would've done her in.
