Summon:
Mercy's summon is an English Spot rabbit whom she calls Eth, although his full name is Ethedus. He is wise and charismatic, often helping Mercy converse with others (as she can be at loss of words with strangers). Like Mercy, he is calm in almost all situations and does not judge or hold grudges. Ethedus and Mercy share a special bond; he never leaves her side, no matter what. However, Ethedus has many well-kept secrets and knows many things about Mercy that even Mercy doesn’t know.Power:
Ethedus is about 7 pounds in weight and medium size. He is white with black ears, a black snout, black eye spots and a chain of 43 small black spots running down his body on each side. He also has a thin black stripe running down his spine that is very ticklish, and is his favourite place to be petted. Ethedus is very active and loves to run around and jump. Ethedus’s tears can be used as a mild anaesthetic.
Mercy can sense the exact feelings of any person or animal, which helps her in situations that may be threatening or somewhat awkward. It also helps her decide if someone is lying or not, although it can often be wrong because people lie for many different reasons.Weapon:
Mercy can also heal the mental well-being of any person or animal. For example is someone is depressed, she can potentially make them happier. This effect can be permanent or temporary, neither Mercy or Ethedus can tell for certain. Sometimes, the mental well-being of someone is not what Mercy expected, which can have disastrous effects. For example, someone can be sad, but when Mercy heals them they’d become happy, but vicious.
Mercy prefers to use a Katana, the same type of blade that sliced her spine and ended her mortal life. It has a dark blue handle, with the occasional light blue diamond. The black iron blade too, has a slight bluish tinge when in direct sunlight. Usually it is sheathed in a decorative scabbard. It is relatively long at 40" weighing 1120 g.Appearance:
She also carries a Wakizashi on her waist, on the same side of her Katana. It looks exactly like Mercy’s Katana but smaller, about 20". Mercy usually keeps her Wakizashi by her side at all times, often sleeping with it- a habit that she picked up from the war (although she does remember that).
Mercy stands at a tall 6’1”, weighing about 145 pounds. She has pale skin than never seems to tan with the occasional freckle on her face and back. She’s fit and slender, with a long yet petty face. Mercy has almost white, blonde hair that she likes to keep in two braids to the back. She has bright blue eyes that look kind and compassionate. However, when Mercy is in pain, angry or uncomfortable, her eyes have been known to change to darker shades of blue.History:
Mercy has only three scars on her body. One large one running across her lower back, one thin scar down her neck and a shot but thick scar on her right shin. She also has a tattoo of six numbers (851216135) on her left wrist, of origins unknown to her.
Although Mercy isn’t picky about her clothing, she prefers to wear dark blue jeans and a comfortable fitted t-shirt. She likes her comfortable boots, but can also be found wearing a pair of sandals when it get warm outside. She hates to wear gloves or hats (including helmets) but will if necessary. Around her waist Mercy often wears a belt that holds her Katana and Wakizashi on her right.
Aroha (AH roh ha) was born an orphan in a small village North of Indafell. Her sailor father had died 7 months before, in a particularly strong lightning storm and her mother had died giving birth to Aroha. However, Aroha never knew any of this as she was put in a bread basket and left on the steps of an orphanage, only a few days old.Behaviour:
They say she would have died from the chilly night, if it had not been for a white and black, spotted rabbit, who stayed with the slowly starving newborn until the owner of the orphanage found Aroha. There, Aroha grew up; knowing no family, for no one adopted her. She developed connections with the pets, rodents and other animals around the orphanage, and was a naturally solitary person. At age 16, Aroha was the only one left at the near-bankrupt orphanage. One late autumn night, Aroha ran away.
After 4 years of wandering, (all the while gaining knowledge and life experiences) Aroha found herself in the midst of a war. She hated everything about it; yet found herself taking sides and participating none the less. Aroha tried her best to not fatally wound her opponents, but did not hesitate to kill some one who was dying in pain. She would not torture and she could not take suffering. Three days before her assumed birthday, Aroha was caught in a fight with an expert swordsman who ended up slicing her spine. Dying in pain, Aroha begged the man to end her life so she would not suffer. He did, and then everything went black. She woke up in a meadow, only knowing her English Spot rabbit and that her name was Mercy.
Mercy is a very quite and solitary individual. She prefers to be alone or with Ethedus, and is often at loss of words when she meets new people. Not that she’s shy, she just doesn’t really have anything to say. She likes to choose her words carefully, often with the help of Ethedus. Mercy is also a good listener, and can keep secerts, even from her summon, Ethedus. She is calm in almost all situations and does not judge or hold grudges. Mercy is helpful and will not hesitate to aid someone in need, she feels as if it was her duty to lend a hand others.Other: Journal:
Mercy can not sand the sight of suffering or torture, and will often try her best to stop an animal or person’s pain, even if it means killing them (mercy killing as she believes). However, mercy will defend herself or someone else if necessary, but prefers not to attack. Mercy takes almost everything seriously, and isn’t good with jokes. Many people wouldn’t like her because of this, if not for Ethedus, who help Mercy understand and not take offense.
