A vicious and sadistic Hyena, Rico enjoys watching Cruelty's over the top act's of violence.Power:
He has a very dark sense of humor, and is much more vocal then his master.
Cruelty has the ability to communicate telepathically with others, which he can speak to both large groups at once or a specific individual. Given enough focus he can send his messages great distances. While in the mind of others he can read their thoughts and emotions, but only those at the surface of their mind, in order to probe deeper the other party must be willing.Weapon:
Cruelty also has the ability to sense the presence of others and his surroundings, making his blindness irrelevant.
Combining these abilities allows Cruelty to predict a foes attack, giving him heightened reflexes.
Cruelty has trained with many diffrent weapons over his travels, and is particularily skilled in unarmed combat, and would prefer to disarm an oponent and kill them with their own weapon.Appearance:
However for more challenging enemies he carries a whip.
Cruelty keeps himself hidden from others under long dark red robes. He keeps the skulls of his "favorite kills" as trophies, that can be seen hanging from his belt.History:
His face is covered by a solid red mask with no visible eye slots, as Cruelty is physically blind.
Under his robes he wears a suit of black armor, the only parts of which are actually visible are his gauntlets and boots.
Very few have seen what lies under these layers, but it is said is skin is grey, and covered in scars, his eyes black and lifeless, and his head bald. This much is clear; he is a physically imposing figure, both tall and muscular.
As a child Edward killed his father, for no other reason then to see if he could. When his mother and older sister walked in on the 10 year old drenched in blood they were terrified, and locked him in the basement. They would bring him food on a small wooden plate, while the sister carried it, their mother stood back with a knife. They didn't know what to do with him, his mother loved him too much to have him killed.Behaviour:
One night Ed had grown bored of torturer rats and bugs and decided to plan his escape.
When his mother and sister came down he grabbed his plate and quickly dumped the food off it and used it as an improvised throwing device to knock the knife from his mothers hand. He ran for it and killed her, his sister wrestled the knife from her brother, and slashed his eyes blinding him, but that didn't stop him, he then continued to beat his sister to death with his fists. After that he took the knife and carved her head from her body, and cleaned his first trophy; his sisters skull.
The blind killer then wrapped his bloody eyes with his shirt that he ripped to size, and used what was left to carry the skull.
He continued his murderous rampage for several years, moving town to town, killing the inhabitants of the homes he'd use to rest for weeks, using the fact he was blind as a sympathy card to get in, and after eating all he could find in his blind state would move on.
He finally met his end when he killed yet another family, not knowing that he'd missed the oldest son, who killed Ed in his sleep.
And Ed's transformation into the monster that is Cruelty was complete.
After a short time with the Sins Cruelty left the Sins to find answers to his former life he'd forgotten, knowing one day he'd return.
Cruelty earns his name through his acts of unspeakable cruelty in which he leaves his victims begging for death to end their suffering.Other:
He speaks to very few people, and feels closer to his victims in their final moments then he ever could with a living being.
When speaking in someone's mind his voice sounds almost demonic, with the echo of many other voices.Journal:
His sisters skull is distinct as he hadn't had much time to get used to his blindness when he removed the flesh, and thus the skull is badly skratch and chipped.
