Chastity sidled behind Justice, trying to hide from the newcomers. Justice was shorter than her, so it wasn't an ideal spot, but there was at least some space and mass between her and the newcomers. They were talking loudly about things she didn't understand. Monster? Thing? Was that what she was hearing?"
"Chastity," she mumbled in response to their questions. Equanimity, the male, was shorter than she. Then again, most were. Loyalty looked a little younger, much younger than him. The way she clung to his hand and used a term of such endearment [E, she had called him?] made them look... whole, together. Like each was a piece of the other, or like one was a locked box and only the other had the right key. They were cute.
Loyalty seemed to have power over her, and though she struggled against it, she felt as though she had to, HAD to like this girl. Ki... what is she? She shrank back further behind Justice, then changed her mind and clung tighter to the older Virtue, not wanting her to go away. In her ear she whispered, "Are we... still going on our walk?" It was practically a whimper. Chastity didn't like change, and two new people coming at once after just meeting so many was almost too much to bear.

Equanimity had just now noticed that his life was full of women. Whether it was in his travels or even here. Thought his hole life he had only had a conversation with 10 men. The last one was a long time ago. He might find someone in this place. But for right now these women where all of the company he had. He quickly checked there body structure. He then hoped to at a later date examine there minds. But until they get in arms reach he can only hope.
Equanimity got control of his breath. "Well. . . To make a bad story forgotten, we will never have to worrier about it. When it goes, it goes for good." He thought back on that. "Well for evil. Depending on your opinion. But thats just me." He shrugged. He had heard only one response to his question to the women.
Equanimity looked over at the one named Chasity. He walked over to her with a pleasant smile. He hand extended. "It is a pleasure to meet you Chasity." He had, by that time, totally forgotten what had happened before he came into the house. It was his nature to forget what has no importance. To him anyway.
Othel saw Naleas glare. He was about to say something but she turned away. He gave a little depressed sigh. He then flew on over to Equanimity and slumped on his shoulder. Today was not a good day for him.

Even though Equanimity might have forgotten about that......thing......Loyalty still had it's image burned into her mind's eye. She could feel her eyes starting to water, and she blinked the tears away, not wanting to cry in front of these strangers.
She clung to E, wanting to be reassured by his presence. She was trembling, and she had to be sure that he saw that monster, too. "E....What...what was that thing?" she whispered, but it was loud enough for the others to hear. "All those claws......the, the face.....Oh, it was terrible!"
When Equanimity stepped to shake hands with that Chasity girl, Loyalty was still clinging to his arm, eyes wide with an unknown fear. She looked at the Chasity........And could tell she was trying to resist her charm. Don't, she tried to tell her. You might get.....hurt.
Nalea was no better off. She needed answers. NOW. Othel, she shouted at him.Tell me what that thing was! Now! And where are we? Will that thing come back for us? Did it want you two??
Loyalty gazed around the room with empty, horrified eyes. "Did......did we finally reach House Eternity?"

Innocence closed her eyes and breathed out, her previous concerns meaning nothing compared to the dangers this pair had just encountered. Whatever this...this thing was... Innocence shuddered, not wanting to leave this mystery to her wild imagination.
When the girl - Loyalty - turned around, Innocence was able to truly see her; see the fright. the desperation, the maddening spark of hope daring to push its way up into her mind. "Are we in the House of Eternity?
Innocence's strong heart froze and then melted at the desperation straining Loyalty's voice. Abandoning all sense of caution, she ran up to the small girl and took her hand, (the other was still holding Equanimity's) squeezing it tightly. "It's okay...you made it safely and that's all that matters." She let go of Loyalty's hand and gave an encouraging smile to Equanimity.
"We" -Innocence gestured in the direction of Justice and Chastity- "were gonna take a walk out there, but..." She stepped back and smiled weakly, though it did not reach her eyes. For the first time in a long time, Innocence was second-guessing herself and her surroundings. Oh, Mydei...what's really going on?

Sensing the unease of Chastity standing behind her, Justice turned to give her a reassuring smile. “They won’t hurt you don’t worry,” she whispered quietly to the shy girl,” And even if they tried I could take them,” she added with a smirk.
Justice glanced over to see how Innocence was doing, but she was now standing by Loyalty trying to make her feel better. A desire Rushed threw her to console the crying girl. Leaving Chastity’s side she all but ran towards Innocence and Loyalty, she kneeled down at the small child’s side and spoke softly. “Its okay, you’re safe now. He can’t get you in here.” She wiped a tear from Loyalty’s cheek, trying to make her feel better. A realization hit Justice as she realized that this sudden affection for the girl wasn’t natural. Backing a little off feeling sort of uncomfortable, she was generally cal, for her about being manipulated. She turned her gaze back to Equanimity for more explanations.

Equanimity reached towards her to shake her hand. She shrank behind Justice, not wanting to touch anything new to add to all these brand-new sensations. Chastity listened to the older girl's calming words. She made her feel better, safer, happier.
All of a sudden, she heard a voice float through her head. "Don't fight it." It was a whisper on the wind, much like those she had heard before. She finally relaxed and let the younger girl's influence enter her consciousness. It was like a flood of relief - she now worried only about Loyalty, and didn't think of her own fears. Still, however, because of her nature, as soon as Justice left to console the young crying girl, Chastity snapped to Innocence's side like a rubber band, reaching for the shorter girl's warm, comforting hand.
She desperately wanted to get out of the now-crowded House Eternity. Or at least out of the main hall. She took one more look around, then turned and ran up the stairs. She tore into her and Innocence's room and threw herself on the bed, ready for tears. She hated crowds. Kia'arit slunk out of her sleeve and wiped a few stray tears from her cheek with his soft white tail. Chastity lifted her head from between her arms and looked into the ermine's eyes. Don't cry, they seemed to say, it's alright. Her head felt fuzzy: she was torn between finding and helping Loyalty and staying away from the crowd. She prayed that Innocence or Justice would come upstairs to find her - she didn't want to be all alone, but the crowd and the two new Virtues were too much.

Equanimity looked around the room. They were all in conflict. This was upsetting to him. He gave a sigh. He relay wanted to leave. But he doesn't have a very good reason. He could say that he wanted to take a walk to think about it. But they would all just follow him. Then he knew what to do. The idea came in the form of a mind that wasn't very far away. A mind that was thinking. That usually meant that it was reading. He looked back at the girls.
"I don't have all of the answers. But I believe that this place has a library. So I will go to it and try to discover what I don't know. Loyalty, you stay here with them. I will be back soon." He kissed her. Then left for the library. He hoped he would actually find out what they all wanted to know.
Othel looked over at Nalea. I am sorry but I have to go with him. I will tell you all that I know when he come back. I promise you. Before they went out of view. Othel sent a little bit of what he was feeling for her to Nalea. He hoped that some time she would feel the same.

Loyalty looked after Equanimity with an expression of longing. She kissed him back, still crying, and sighed when he left. Then she looked back at the girls, and blushed. This time, she really WAS shy. "Um.....I guess I should apologize to you guys. I'm sorry for miss leading you." She looked back to where Equanimity disappeared. She turned to Justice and Innocence. "What you are feeling for me is false. That's my power. When I talk to someone, they instantly what to make me happy, want to comfort me. It's.....because of my past." She looked away when she said that, and glanced behind her again. She felt safer with Equanimity close, but she was warming to Justice. She looked scared again, and then, before she could stop herself, she blurted, "I love him," as if that would explain everything about how she happened to cling to him.
Then she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, pulling her power close inside her, hiding it from the girls in the room. "There," she said, opening her eyes. "Now you can like me for what I am. If you want to like me at all." Loyalty stepped closer to Justice and Innocence, then threw her arms around Justice, sobbing. "It was terrifying!" she cried. Now that Equanimity was gone, she could let it all out. "It was horrible! All the claws and tentacles and everything! It was a monster!!"
Nalea ran up to Innocence and looked up to her, chinchilla fur fluffed up. Don't worry about her, she said to the girl. Loyalty needs this. She's been hiding her feelings for much to long. You two shall be good friends to her. She already loves you, but in a different way than she loves E. That's the boy's nickname. Equanimity needed to leave, he doesn't like fighting, but he loves Loyalty. Nalea was explaining everything to Innocence, and she didn't know why. And Othel's feelings freaked her out. She was trying to forget them.

Innocence placed a reassuring hand on Justice's shoulder, noticing her confused reaction to Loyalty's "powers." Her other hand was gripped by Chastity's and just as suddenly, it was empty as she and Ki turned to run up the stairs. Innocence was torn between rushing after her and staying to try and acquire some useful information.
She chose the latter as Equanimity mentioned a Library. Well, well, well... That makes sense. The House of Eternity almost radiated knowledge, and what better place to search for answers than in a room full of books? Innocence tucked the thought away in a mental file folder and turned back toward Loyalty and Justice.
Innocence listened carefully to what Nalea had to say and nodded slowly. She then bent down and placed a light kiss on the top of Loyalty's slight head. "Thank you for sheltering your powers. I always find it's better to genuinely know the person I'm trying to help." Her eyes showed her sincerity, but a frown still remained on her face. "Whatever was chasing you is gone now...I hope. She tried hard not to shudder in disgust. Tentacles? Claws?
"We'll try our very best to help, but we're new here as well." Innocence paused, face half shadowed. "I just don't understand..." Her voice trailed off into nothing and she rubbed Mydei's head rhythmically. "OH!" Suddenly, she remembered Chastity. "I need to check on my roommate." Innocence nodded to Loyalty and gave Justice a look of solemnity. "I'll be back as soon as possible!"
ooc: I hope you can work with that, xcrunchx. I just thought it was getting a little long...

As Innocence an up the stairs Justice yelled to her,” Make sure she’s alright,” she was worried about Chastity but she didn’t want to upset her more by bring loyalty with her, and she couldn’t leave the girl alone down here. The age difference between equanimity and the girl startled her, she wasn’t approving of it but also wasn’t going to hold it against either of them. For all she knew Loyalty could have been older then Equanimity considering that virtues don’t age.
She noticed how Equanimity left in a hurry, it made her uneasy how she didn’t know anything about him and he was now wandering around Purity’s house. She looked at loyalty and said “I think I should follow him, this isn’t my house and I want to make sure he’s not snooping around.” She thought of Talent, and how he had barged in looking for the goddess, without her innovation in. Though the circumstances were different, they were being attacked and needed shelter. She still wanted to know what he was up to."I will be in the libaray!" she added looking at innocence, who was retreating up the stairs.

Chastity was still on the bed, tears still lingering damply on her face when she heard the ka-THUMPing steps of someone coming up the stairs. Out of pure instinct she hid beneath the soft, plush comforter and peeked her eyes above it, with her shock of dark hair just visible.
She breathed a sigh of relief when she realized it was just Innocence. Relaxing, she uncovered herself and looked at the other Virtue with sorrow and an apology in her eyes. "I'm sorry for making you leave if you wanted to stay with them. I know that Loyalty girl had a, ah, an... interesting draw to her." Here she paused, and tentatively smiled at Innocence. "Did I hear something about a library?" Chastity laughed quietly. "I don't care much for books anymore. They never did me any use or comfort while I was roaming the unknown with Ki.
"So did Justice follow that Equanimity character? He was a little strange. I don't judge, but didn't he look a little too old to be kissing Loyalty like... well, like that?" she said, a question mark hovering in the air. "Is Loyalty by herself downstairs, then? Is she... is she... scared, do you think?" Chastity stroked Kia'arit and awaited an answer.

Loyalty looked around sadly. Maybe I shouldn't have sheltered my powers, Nalea. Everyone left me, even E. She sighed, and then her 13-year-old instinct kicked in, of all times. I should go exploring, she decided. You too, Nalea! Come on! She smiled but faltered. Maybe I'll get in trouble, though......., she grumbled, and sighed again. Now that Justice was gone, she was so sad.
Nalea squeaked, then climbed up to Loyalty's shoulder. Yes. You would've gotten in trouble for wondering around this house without permission, she agreed. Her eyes never missed anything, always darting around. She was getting hit by waves of sadness thrown to her by her master. Maybe.....you should call to them? she suggested.
Loyalty perked up immediately. "Yes!" she said out loud, then looked towards the stairs. She ran to the bottom, and looked up, uncertain. "Uh.......Innocence?" she called gently, but she couldn't keep the sadness out of her voice, and it still trembled with fear. "Chastity?"
