Introduction The Book The writing on the cover of this book is scrawl. Hard to read. As if its writer had a hard time writing at all. On the front, in crude, scrawled characters reads "Trust".
It's cover is a light shade of blue. It has an old, torn look to it. There are some pages that you can see are clearly seperated from the book. Some seem to be as if they fell out of the binding, while others seem as if they never belonged in the book.
You open it, and for awhile, the same scrawling writing is before you. There are no charms to protect it. No defense against those who would read it. The book is completely trusting of those who would read it.
You begin to read.
Trust cannot see.
Therefore, he cannot write. However, I am... sort of able to write. Even reading my own handwriting hurts my eyes. In this... book shall go information regarding the past of my blind companion. Anyone seeking secrets only he knows should look elsewhere. After all, I don't know them.
On second thought, why am I writing this? I should just take a nap instead.

Part One Before Blindness The same scrawling text continues. Believe it or not, there was a time when my companion could read. He loved reading, actually. If he wasn't reading, then he was either watching the sea, or writing. He wasn't very good at it, but he did. This is a collection of some of the things he wrote. For the most part, they're journal entries. There are a couple poems, though, and a short story or two.
I find the poems to be absolutely disgusting.

Part Two In Service of the Goddess The pages are now all fitting as they should in the book. The scrawling writing once more replaces the clear, legible writing.Of course, all good good things come to an end. Though thank God that poetry is gone. Now is where I take over. This d**nable pen is really starting to hurt my hand.

Part Three The Wanderer My companion left most people's knowledge for three years. During that time, he used his abilities sparingly, he kept quiet, and he avoided every Virtue, Drifter, and Sin. The only people he would talk to were humans. He learned a lot during this time.

Part Four Beyond Trust plans to return to the Virtues soon. He has a feeling that something is going to happen. He doesn't know what, but he knows that they'll need all the help he can get.
He also tells me that Apathy is somewhere nearby. I tell him to forget that Drifter. That he was more insane than him.
The boy just laughs at me.
