As Jones walked by and dropped off their food, Hypocrisy's mouth watered. The medium steak looked delicious. She hadn't tasted well-cooked meat in so long... Shaking this thought off, she pulled the plate and silverware closer to her and picked up her knife. Carefully, she copied Corruption's movements and painstakingly cut a piece of steak off the bone. She put it in her mouth and chewed thoughtfully.
Good, she thought, beginning to cut another piece. She fumbled a little with the knife, but smiled shyly and caught her grip again. Another piece went into her mouth and down her throat. It was so good. She couldn't believe how excellent it was, how flavourful.
Suddenly it came to her attention that Corruption had spoken. "Hmm," she said aloud, "I've never really put much thought into my um, training." She put down her utensils, focusing on Corruption. "As far as I know I've always known how to fight and live off whatever I can find. I always just put it down to instinct. But beyond that, I really don't know."
She picked up her knife and fork again, slicing another bite of steak off. She'd start on the soup in a minute. "Core, how far is your home from here?" Hypocrisy asked, hoping she hadn't said anything wrong.

Taking a bite of the food, Animosity pouted a little bit. It wasn't what he was in the mood for, but then again, he did ask to be surprised. "Lesson learned," he thought to himself, "don't ask to be surprised again- ever." He ate his meal in silence as he listen to the murmur of the crowds all around the pub.
Hypocrisy was talking with Corruption, but it didn't really hold his interest. Animosity would have completely ignored the other Sins if it hadn't been for the fact that one of them was Hypocrisy. "What am I thinking?!" he shouted mentally. "Hypocrisy just happens to be the only human-like being that's ever truly been kind to me, so, it's obvious that I wouldn't hate her. That's all..." In an attempt to ignore his own thoughts, he tried to go back to casually eating his meal.
ooc:// Sorry about the long wait guys! I got busy with a lot of stuff, and then when I found my site kinda collapsing in on itself, well, I lost of a lot of will to RP right then. But, I'm back now. ^^

Corruption had devoured most of his steak before he finally answered Hyp. Ani seemed to be more lost in his thoughts, and was seemingly displeased with his meal.
You asked for what sells best around here. If you don’t like chicken, that’s your problem
Corruption though for a bit, downing his glass of lemonade and pouring a new glass from the pitcher. Hyp seemed genuinely interested in his habitation, and if she was to be believed, she had good reason to. Without knowledge of her past life, all that would remain is what the body had learned. Given how she could fight, it was likely that she’d been some sort of combat specialist. Possibly a guard or soldier from years ago. She would have had accommodations, so either she was an excellent actress, or she truly had no memory.
There were other reasons she could be interested, but Corruption shoes to not dwell on them. Regardless of what they thought they had, once in the city they could be eliminated at any time. Hopefully it wouldn’t come to that, tough. Allies were preferred to corpses. Especially if the allies were powerful. Trust would need to be forged between the group at this point. Deception and Tag could come into play later.
“Not too far from here, just along the western wall of the city. It’s rather scenic, there’s a clear view of the port and sea. Speaking of which, the Sea Cypress should be docking soon. Might be worth a look one of these days.”

Hypocrisy listen intently to Corruption's speech patterns. He sounded at ease, but forcibly, as though he still didn't trust her or Animosity. She was curious as to why, but she supposed he had his reasons. She did, after all, try to kill him, or at least spook him. He, however, had done the same.
Hypocrisy trusted him enough to eat whatever food he gave her, sleep near him, and even let him touch her Summon. Animosity was one of her first acquaintances in this strange new place, so she trusted him.
Thoughtfully she chewed a piece of that delicious steak and waited for Animosity's response to Corruption's words. Maybe he would give her a clue as to how to respond.

Animosity finished his meal and pushed his chair a little from the table. He brought his right leg up, crossing it over his left leg just enough so his foot dangled in midair, resting his shin on the table's edge, and crossed his arms over his stomach.
"I assume that is some sort of human vessel?" he asked with little enthusiasm. "Doesn't sound all that interesting. And besides, anywhere that humans have gotten involved isn't very scenic anymore. No, the only truly beautiful places are those untouched by humans." Slouching back a little more in his chair, Animosity looked to the ceiling.
The ceiling... made by humans.
Animosity hated that ceiling.

Neither Hyp nor Animosity seemed overly excited by the prospect of Kham’Hur. Just as well, the Sin though, finishing his meal quickly, but being sure to savour the flavour, it’s unlikely that the Sea Cypress would bring anything new to or from that area. The Sins there had likely grown content with their new life. Soft. Perhaps they enjoyed there exile.
Corruption chuckled a little to himself thinking of the Sins in Lehaita. They were likely freezing their asses off. If anyone was to start a revolt, it would be there.
Neither mattered at the moment, however. The two new Sins in Infadell were a problem. Hyp seemed simple enough. Keep her happy and she wouldn’t start a ruckus. Maybe she’d find her own niche here. So long as the continued existence of Sins in Infadell was a secret, it didn’t matter.
Ani was a different story, however. He appeared to be displeased by everything, including the ceiling. Admittedly, it wasn’t a mastery of architecture, but it was solid and kept the rain off. However Corruption felt that if Ani’s distaste grew much more, he may do something... chaotic. Chaos in Infadell was something that should be avoided. Excitement was fine every now and again, but too much wold lead to trouble. Corruption hoped it wouldn’t come to that.
Disappointment was in store.
Not 2 minutes after Corruption had finished his meal did Jones come out placing not a bill, but a small slip of paper in front of the Sin. The barkeeper was well aware of Corruption’s secret, and acted as a messenger for Et’Zel. Whenever the cobra needed to tell Corruption something urgent and in-person was impossible, it came down to Jones to deliver. He hadn’t failed yet.
Corruption’s smile faded slightly as he took the note, and vanished at once as he read the contents. A single sentence, but it may as well have been one of death. Pausing briefly to throw and handful of coins on the counter, Corruption quickly left the bar.
The note clutched tightly in his fist slowly turned to ashes as the Sins eyes went from their usual black to a bright red, erasing the fearful note:
Goddess Taint is in Infadell.
