Animosity was genuinely glad to see Hypocrisy again. He was also happy that she did not know of how poorly he reacted, and that would not have to ruin their reunion. Not wishing to say anything about his misjudgment, he simply smiled and nodded along with her. Though, the was drastically changed when the other Sin, Corruption, his name appeared to be, began to speak.
Animosity's face became a mixture of a snarl and a forced smile as he tried to hide how much he felt that this man was just like he viewed humanity... a list of things to long to count. He let his scythe disappear and said, "As you wish, Core. My scythe wasn't hard to get rid of, and Ffion will be fine on her on, correct?"
"Sure," Ffion answered.
"But, there's still the problem of these." He stops to point to his bright, blood-red eyes. "I can do nothing about them, and generally most humans don't like to look at 'demons', so to speak. Nevertheless, I would still be most honoured to join the two of you."

"Ani..." Hypocrisy said mildly. It was a kind of warning. "Play nice..."
Turning to Corruption, she spoke again. "What do you think about the eyes?" She was worried they would attract too much attention. She didn't care if they ALL knew she was immortal. Why should she? Humans were pests; evil, the lot of them. Corruption's ideas begged to differ. He seemed keen on keeping his human identity. It made her wonder what he planned with the humans of Indafell.
Clicking her tongue lightly, Hypocrisy nudged Seghen into a slow walk, Corruption securely behind her. Animosity would catch up. It appeared he always did.

I managed to go from unknown to despised in a few words. This one’s too easy to bait. Corruption’s grin widened at the thought. This one’s going to be fun.
“The eyes shouldn’t be a problem. Last I checked Humans don’t like to make eye contact with strangers, especially people like us. Unless you want attention, you should be fine. Even if they did, I’ve been seen in the company of stranger people, so it shouldn’t make a difference.”
He paused thoughtfully for a second, then continued,
“Of course, if you’re that concerned, I have a mask back in the city you can wear. Who knows? It might be an improvement.”
He chuckled at his own joke as Seghen started to walk. This was going to be fun indeed.

Animosity yielded to Hypocrisy's words. He didn't know why, and normally it would irk him a fair amount that someone had any control over him (that wasn't Ffion), but someone, when she did it didn't bother him.
He stepped into a quick stride as Seghen began to move forward. Corruption apparently knew stranger humans than him, which wasn't really surprising - a Sin that likes humans and likes being around them? Now that, that was truly absurd.
When Corruption made the mask comment, Animosity laughed.
"Well," he scoffed, "at least I know that your insults only range from obvious-observational ones to child-like ones. So please, refrain from trying to mock or insult me; it's only amusing for so long, then it just gets sad."

Hypocrisy was beginning to find it hard to breathe with the two Sins arguing like children. Playfully, she muttered, "Must I turn this ostrich around, boys?" Animosity seemed to be keeping up just fine, so she urged Seghen a little faster.
Corruption's mask comment almost made her laugh out loud. This was going to be an interesting if not downright fun ride. "Core, be nice," she said, turning back to look at him and flashing him a wink. Turning around again, her fingers tightened on the reins. She didn't want to (unlikely as it was) lose control of her Summon with a new friend and an old acquaintance scrutinizing her every mood. Being the only female was unnerving.
Addressing Animosity, Hypocrisy posed a question. "Ani, what brought you so coincidentally to where I happened to be?"

Animosity's retort didn't affect Corruption’s grin, but a vein pulsed in his forehead. A shallow retort, but he was more in control tan before. A challenge, then. Nothing was every easy, so why should he expect different here? Oh well, it made success sweeter.
At Hypocrisy’s threat, Corruption donned puppy eyes and increased his voice’s pitch.
“No mommy, please. We’ll be good, I promise.”
He held the look for a moment before cracking into laughter, almost losing his balance as Seghen’s speed increased. He fell silent at her question to Ani, though. This could be interesting. He looked over to Animosity wit interest, his grin assuming its usual position.

Got of guard by the question, Animosity had to take a moment to compose himself again. He sighed, and decided the only way he'd ever be able to keep any real friends, was is he was honest.
"Well," he began, "truth be told, it wasn't actually a coincidence, but at the same time it was. You see, it's a tad embarrassing to say, but I got a little over dramatic when I woke up to find you gone. I should have known you had a good reason, but with my general poor judgment of human nature and my tendency to assume the worst in situation... well, you can see where that would put me. So, I left, went back to the city actually, but Ffion convinced me that I should come back and look for you.
"I wasn't even sure I would; who knows how far you could have gotten in the time I was gone, and I didn't even know what direction you were going. That, is why it is still partly a coincidence. But I am very glad Ffion knows me well enough, apparently knew where you were, and was secretly guiding me there. As cliche as it sounds, all's well that ends well... or something to the effect."

Hypocrisy giggled when Corruption did a (sad) attempt at a puppydog face. His little-kid-imitation pitch made her laugh outright. "If you promise, then," she said, laughing still.
"You know I wouldn't intentionally leave you. A Sin I may be, but a bad companion I am not," Hypocrisy said, addressing Animosity. "Well, you've found me now. I suppose that's correct..." She coughed, letting her voice trail off. "I left because I heard... well, I thought I heard-" she said haltingly, "never mind. It's silly. I'm a grown Sin, and daydreams are not my style. Forget I said anything."
She coughed again, and spared a moment to wonder why the hell she was coughing so often. She spoke to Corruption as well as she could without turning around. "Core, why are you holding on so tight? Falling off a little? Slightly unbalanced, are we?" she said with a teasing lilt in her voice. Mocking him felt courageous, and made her feel at ease with the two male Sins.

Corruption maintained a silent chuckle as he observed the awkward air between the other two Sins. Ani was rambling on, and Hyp seemed to develop a sudden cough. He mentally filed away Hyp’s explanation for her departure alongside her breakdown. There was likely a link, and it would be interesting to see if and how it developed. He took Hp’s questions in stride, a never losing his grin.
“Unbalanced? You mean mentally or physically? Actually, it doesn’t matter. The answer’s yes in both cases. But I imagine that wo’t be too much trouble. Everyone’s a little off about one thing or another.”

"It's true," Animosity said, "we're all here now, and I believe everything has worked out for the best. Again, sorry for making such rash and harsh assumptions about your departure."
"On another note: Core, I'm curious as the the nature of your power. If you should me yours', I'll gladly show you my power." A devilish grin passed his lips as he began to think about how this strange, but interesting, Sin would react to his power. No doubt he's already seen Hypocrisy's power, but the question is what he though of it.

Hypocrisy smiled a toothy grin at Corruption's response. He couldn't see her face, but she hoped he knew she was smiling (and therefore kidding). But the smile disappeared when Animosity started to talk about powers again.
They may have been in the woods, far from prying eyes, but Hypocrisy couldn't shake the feeling that the trees had eyes. She didn't want to show hers for fear of someone seeing (or more likely hearing) her. Animosity had already seen hers, and so had Core. But if Animosity was going to be so prideful in his power and his weapons, what was stopping him from revealing everything to the villagers and ruining Corruption's careful guise? The Sin could sometimes be spiteful.
In any case, Animosity could do what Animosity wanted to do. And if Corruption wanted to demonstrate whatever his power was, it was up to him. Hypocrisy, for one, thought it unwise.

Corruption’s eyes narrowed at Animosity’s question.
“You ask me to show my hand early. I don’t know about you, but I am hesitant to place any trust in someone I just met, especially if they seem eager to learn about me. I’m going to have to deny your request, and I would suggest you refrain from demonstrating yours unneeded. I have witnessed Hyp’s ability, however she was in a position with no alternative. Besides, I have a reputation to maintain, and given our proximity to Infadell, I think it would be best to assume we’re can be observed.”
Corruption’s demeanour relaxed as he continued.
“Also, what guarantee do you have that I won’t attack you? If I did, would you not prefer to keep any advantages you could? You shouldn’t be so trusting, it’ll get you killed one day.”

Animosity shrugged his shoulders.
"I guess I was thinking about how close to the city we are," he said. "But, do not think that I meant I was prepared to explain my power to you. I would leave the dark place of your mind free to imagine all the possibilities of my powers, and since you know not my limits..." A sinister smile came across his face as he spoke. "... you do not know what to expect. But of course, I do not know your power, and even if I did, I likely would not know it's extend or limitations. Though it may sound incredibly over confident, I believe that unless your power is extremely power and you are an expert with it, then against my scythe and power, you'd be in for a difficult fight."
It probably wasn't smart to be saying such things, but Animosity was never one for lying about his beliefs and thoughts. So he might agitate Corruption, he didn't much care; that Sin seemed to think he had something that Animosity didn't - something that made him better or gave him the upper hand.

Hypocrisy groaned in frustration as the males beat their chests like enormous gorillas. She was tiring quickly of such games between the two. One would say something to outdo the other, then the other would insult the first.
"Animosity, don't be so boastful. You have no idea what Corruption's power or weapon is like. Perhaps he has some sort of ultimate weapon full of destiny to fulfill and civilizations to destroy. Yes, your scythe and power are impressive, but that doesn't necessarily make you a match for everything that may or may not come your way.
"Corruption, don't kill him. Without reason, anyway." Hypocrisy turned again, flashing another wink his way. She looked down off the ostrich to where Animosity was loping along beside her.
"Ani, do you want to ride for a while? I'll walk, and keep Seghen from getting disgruntled with a new rider."

Animosity’s explanation rang true. Knowledge of a power did not necessarily demonstrate its full capabilities, and constantly changing how one used their power created even more uncertainties. However, the assumption that a stronger power would be needed was folly. The strongest warrior can fall prey to the poison of the smallest spider. Power did not equal survival. Corruption merely shrugged in response. Best not to force Animosity’s hand at this point. A battlefield advantage would be a good option; being able to Tag his clothes would be better.
He laughed at Hyp’s description of his potential. She knew his weapon looked much more like a stage attraction than ultimate destruction. Still, he’d take compliments where he could get them.
“I make no promises.”
His grin stretched beyond normal, but lost some of its sinister presence, and his eyes lit up at the idea of Animosity riding alongside. The world provided, indeed.
