ooc - no particular plans for this thread yet, so anyone can join in!
The sun was high in the sky as the pale immortal headed towards the zen gardens of the Deus Grounds. From her pale left hand hung a limp pair of sandals that she had taken off when she'd reached the grass. She could feel the sun's warmth soaking into her skin and the breeze gently blowing her dark hair off of her shoulders. The blades of grass tickled the undersides of her feet as she walked.
She looked up from the ground, saw a small fence a few feet off. Pulling a strand of chocolate hair behind her ear, she blinked in the strong sunlight and continued on her path. The energy house immortal moved with precision, feeling the energy of the grass, the sun, the wind with each step she took. She focussed on the way their energies melded and seperated, moved in and around her own in a complex, weaving dance. She forced herself to be aware only, not to manipulate or influence, just to feel.
All too soon, however, Zaila was at the entrance to the zen garden. The babbling of a small waterfall as it splashed into the pond within the garden walls could be heard from outside the door. The door was wooden, made of long logs strapped together. It swung easily and silently on its hinges at her pressing and she entered at the same pace she had approached. The smooth white pebbles shifted like marbles beneath her feet and she could hear the sound they made as they collided with each other.
In the center of the garden was a single patch of grass where the Adamos Immortal sat herself. She straightened out her purple robes and folded her hands in her lap. Breathing in and out, she did her best to quiet her mind. The task proved difficult, her mind wandering to all sorts of undesired locations. She remained still, however, breathed. In the distance she heard footsteps.

Stay silent...stay silent...stay silent..
The daily mantra thudded around in her mind as she ran a hand through the ferns in the garden lazily, occasionally stirring a gentle breeze with the other hand. Aidhairi liked the sound of rustling leaves, it was quiiiiite therapeutic.
She wiggled her toes as her feet accustomed themselves from soft grass to pebbles, the muffled crunch, crunch following her movement through the garden. The breeze intensified a little as her fingers made slight gestures, and the garden echoed with the sounds of leaves and a mixed aroma of flowers, herbs, plants and water. Amusingly, not a hair shifted from the immortal's head, nor was there any movement from her clothing as she stood and took in the scents of the garden. Aidhairi grinned, watching a few stray leaves float by in the wind. However, that expression fell rapidly enough as a gust of wind sent a loud tinkling throughout the garden, and her frantic lavender eyes scouted the area nervously.
Her face paled as the Adamos immortal stared back at her, hair slightly messed up and obviously aware of her presence.
"Oh..um..fuck."

Zaila felt another presence grounding their energy, haphazardly almost, but grounding nonetheless. The wind picked up speed around the Adamos immortal. She groaned internally. She did her best to push it away. Don't let her bother you, she told herself, she'll leave. But the crunching of the stones told her that the air immortal was obviously not heading in the direction she was hoping she would go. That being the direction away from her.
She concentrated on her own energy, feeling it pulse around her with frustration. A gust of wind suddenly blew strong and sharp from behind her, tousling her hair and clothing and her eyes snapped open, her energy seething red and hot with the loss of her temper.
"Ventell!" she called, slapping her hands against her head to push her hair back from her face. She heard Aidhairi swear as Zaila narrowed her green eyes at her. She stalked over slowly, deliberately. When she was almost nose to nose she stood up on tip toe to meet the eyes of the girl who had interrupted her.
"Blow off." she seethed through her teeth.

Zaila's face was so close to hers Aidhairi swore she almost went cross-eyed. Bright green eyes flared with anger as the immortal hissed into her face and she jerked her head back instinctively, bringing forth a resounding jingle again from the bells in her hair which practically screamed GUIIIILT! to the world. Aidhairi bit her lip in mild frustration and took a couple of steps back from the seething woman before letting out a loud sigh.
"Gaaaawd Adamos, I'm sorryyyyy. Didn't expect anyone else to be here really." She stared at the ground guiltily, nervously running her toes through the pebbles. Fingers anxiously crossed behind her back, Aidhairi hoped in the back of her mind that Zaila would forget to whip her for losing control over her bells, though she usually remembered all too well.
But um, maybe if she was pissed off enough, she'd forget, right?
"So..uh..what brings you here this time of day? You're not with your usual....people..." Again, more finger-crossing. As long as she kept Zaila preoccupied...

The sound of bells flitted through the air, and she saw guilt flicker across the face of the air immortal. Zaila grabbed a strand of hair with bells attached to it. She was starting to get really fed up with some of the younger immortals.
Zaila ignored what the Aidhairi was saying to her, barely being able to hear what was pouring out of the girl's mouth for the nervous energy she was pumping out. The Adamos immortal backed up two steps and sucked the gravity down around the air immortal, forcing her body to feel heavier than it actually was. She continued to pull the gravity around Aidhairi, probably harder than she should have, trying to bring her to her knees.
"Are you looking to pick a fight with me?" she demanded. She knew she wasn't at her prime, with that woman on her mind. She pushed her frustration out on Ventell. She moved next to the girl, so she could look her in her face. "Get control of your power," her venom voice dripped. She glared ice daggers into the eyes of Ventell. For a fleeting moment she felt guilty for always punishing the air immortal, considered letting up on the gravity that was pulling her down, but that feeling passed fleetingly. Ventell was just as accountable as any of them, and Zaila was merely keeping her account current.
ooc - wow my character is mean...

The young immortal flinched as her head jerked forward, quickly snapping back before Zaila pulled the rest of her along with. As expected, Zaila had a vicegrip on her hair and had no damn intention of letting go-
Her eyes widened with swift realization as she felt the beginnings of sudden weight around her. Aidhairi struggled to stay upright but to no avail, Zaila's pull on gravity sent her crashing onto her knees on the ground. A soft cry of pain escaped her lips as the pebbles collided with her kneecaps with rather... excessive force, nearly causing Aidhairi's legs to buckle underneath her, and yet another tug at her hair yanked her looking upwards, where the rebellious immortal glared defiantly back, bright lavender eyes to Zaila's green.
"I will, though it's proving difficult with people trying to crack my knees open like this," she hissed, a sharp, short gust of wind striking the hand gripping her hair. "Now let the hell off my hair, Adamos, I have no idea what bit you in the arse lately but I want nothing to do with it. Love life gone wrong?" Aidhairi commented, being a bit too catty even by her usual standards. Somehow her and Zaila, it was a very rare occasion when the both of them weren't trying to verbally murder each other.

Wind tickled Zaila's hand, and she flung the bell hard towards the face of the woman kneeling beneath her. For a moment she considered reaching out to the air immortal, draining her energy, but she still had enough capacity to know that such drastic measures were completely uncalled for. Then again, she had mentioned her.
"You'd spend less time on your knees if you spent less time with your head in the clouds!" Zaila chided, looking down at Aidhairi. Kneeling to be at eye level in front of the air immortal, she reached forward in a swift motion to grasp the immortal's cheek. Perhaps squeezing a little harder than was necessary, Zaila held her face so it was inches away from hers. "But since you don't seem to be doing that, I'm starting to think you like doing this." She felt Ventell's energy pulsing white and strong, resilient and rebellious. She pulled slightly, not enough to completely drain the immortal, but enough to make her feel the weight of who she was dealing with. The sensation only lasted a moment before she stopped and released the girl's face.
Without turning to see what she was doing she pulled the energy around her staff towards it, causing a burst to push it towards Adamos. She overshot, slightly, but was still able to catch it, bringing it down hard onto the stones beside the air immortal as a warning of what was to come.

The bell bounced off her nose with a loud jingle as Zaila flung it back to her face, much to Aidhairi's irritation. She frowned with discomfort at the Adamos immortal's grasp on her cheek, already half-predicting the draining feeling that was pretty standard fare whenever the two had an argument (which again, was fairly often). Aidhairi gritted her teeth, resisting Zaila's pull as much as she could, and snapped back instantly the moment she no longer felt the energy immortal's touch on her cheek.
"You know me, trouble follows me around like a loyal puppydog. And that's pretty unfair...am I supposed to go into hand-to-hand combat while you wave your staff around at me?" Ventell shifted into a crouching position as Zaila caught her staff, springing away neatly as the weapon crashed onto the ground mere inches away from herself, putting a slight distance away from the Adamos immortal. She stretched slightly, standing upright and defiant as always, though if Zaila really were to initiate anything right here her chakrams weren't exactly with her at the moment...that was sliiiiiiiightly worrying.
