"You are quite welcome," Animosity replied. Sitting down and placing his hands on the back of his head, he rested against a tree, looking up at the stars.
"You ever wonder why were here? Why we've got these powers? And why us? I presume most humans don't come back to live like we did, so what makes us different? Do we actually play a larger role in some grand scheme conspired by a higher power, or are we just a random occurrence? And if we die now, we'll we actually die, or we'll we come back again?" Ffion trotted up beside Animosity and gave him a light flick of her tail to his face.
"Stop thinking about all that," she said, "it won't get you anywhere. And besides, who knows how much longer you're going to live for, so why waste it all asking questions that you'll likely never get answers for? Didn't you promise to do things differently this time?" Animosity sighed and petted the fox's head.
"You're right," he sighed, "but that doesn't mean this changes anything about my plan; once that's done, I can focus on living a better life." Ffion sighed and curled up next to him.

Hypocrisy fell asleep to the sound of Animosity murmuring to Ffion in the background. Goodnight, Seghen.
- - -
Much later in the night, Hypocrisy woke with a start. Sweat poured down her face in such a way that she couldn't think of the last time she had perspired so much. She heard voices. They sounded far-off, but getting closer. She could sense them. Glancing at Animosity, she stopped. Should she wake him? She couldn't. She wasn't expecting him to jump to her aid after only a day of being together. Her heart hurt to leave him there, but she needed to.
She jumped from her blanket, tearing off into the darkness. She blindly ran, not even thinking about the summon she left behind in the clearing, along with all her things. She had her weapons and she had her power and she had herself. That was all she needed. She whipped past trees of different sizes and shapes, not noticing the cuts they left on her face. Her shoes were not much protection against the hard, rocky forest floor. But she had to run. She had to find the voices. She could hear them. She could hear them. She could still hear them. They weren't far away.
ooc:\\ Finally finished. Hypocrisy's going elsewhere. She had fun with Animosity but can't stay, as you saw above.

Yawing, Animosity woke slowly. He noticed that it was still dark out, but the fire had died out some time ago. Looking around he found that Hypocrisy was no where to be seen. Her summon and all her belongs were still here though. Anger welling up in him once again, he rose. Kicking the remains of the fire, Ffion was startled and woken.
"What's going on?" she asked sleepily.
"She left," Animosity sneered.
"Oh."
"Come on, we're going."
"She left everything her, even Seghen; she must have had a good reason to leave."
"I don't care! ... Now, I said we're leaving." Ffion sigh and followed Animosity as he walked back into the forest. His head swam with the similar presence of hatred, that had been only temporarily soothed by the day before, as he walked away from the clearing, not looking back.
ooc:// Animosity is leaving this thread, bye-bye. =P
