Nalea ran in, her eyes wide with fear and anger. She could hear Loyalty crying to the boy as she fled from them. She cares more for him than me! She ran on, not caring that her fluffy fur was damp and clumped from the snow on the low-lying bushes. She ran and ran, until she reached a small, silent clearing.
The clearing was peaceful. It was filled with long, feathery wisps of grass, untouched by the snow, and surrounded by tall trees that blocked out the sky. Mist hung low in the air, and in the middle was a small rock.
The rock was round with a flat top, like someone had come along and cut the top off. Snow flakes drifted down lazily from the cover of the trees, and for once, Nalea smiled. This was her place now, and it would be forever.
She ran through the flowing grass until she stood gazing up at the foot of the rock. She crouched down, low to the ground, and leaped into the air. Her small front paws gripped the edge of the rock, and she pulled herself over the edge, onto the flat surface.
The rock was oddly warm. It felt as though it was heated from within itself. Her damp chinchilla fur dried slowly as she lay down, glad for the warmth. She smiled again, and sighed, forgetting Loyalty and the boy named E. What an odd name. He should change it, she thought.
But her ears pricked as she caught a faint whisper in her mind. Nalea......I.....You It sounded like Loyalty. She sat up, eyes wide. Loyalty! She had completely forgotten her master. She looked around, but she couldn't remember the way she came in. Uh oh.
But her mind was all fuzzy with the warmth and peace. I have to go to her! To who? I have get out! Get out of where? Where is she?!? WHO?
Her eyes started to cloud over, and slowly her small body sank onto the stone, wanting it's warmth. I can stay here. Yes, a voice whispered. Stay here forever, and never leave. You belong here, Nalea. Belong with us.

Othel knew of these types of places. He had finally found her. But he didn't expect her to be in a place of trapped souls. He had been in one of these places before. But this place was much more devious than aggressive. That made it all the more dangerous. But luckily this place only took effect after being here for a long time.
When he saw that the girls summon was sitting on the rock where he could feel most of the souls gathering he knew that she had been there for a long time. He flew down to where the summon was sitting and felt the souls moving away from him. He had felt heat from the rock. But it was starting to cool. What is this place? He directed his thoughts to the summon.

Nalea's eyes fluttered open. It is were I belong, she murmered. My haven.
Her eyes flew open and she stood up. But there was no sign of any life in her eyes. They were dull and cloudy, with a hint of hatred in them. She snarled, then puffed out her fur. GET AWAY FROM MY HAVEN! she screamed in Othel's mind. GET AWAY! But her voice was not her own. It sounded like it was many peoples, all shouting at the squirrel with different tones. Nalea bunched her muscles, and leaped at the summon, teeth bared and claws out stretched.

Othel quickly flew away. O DAMED SPIRITS OF THIS PLACE! LEAVE HER BODY OR I WILL FORCE YOUR PEACE UPON YOU! AND YOU WILL NEVER BE IN THIS WORLD EVER AGAIN! He then looked at the summon. Please. You know you can fight them. You are not trapped as they are. You still have your freedom.
Othel then saw the spirits. He didn't look at them to see what they looked like. Then he cast forward his own energy to hopefully remove the spirits in the summons body. I am the vassal of the soul cleanser. Don't dare tread on my path. This was more of a bluff.

Nalea snarled at the summon's words, but started attacking the spirits inside her body. She squeezed her eyes shut and thrashed around the now-frozen stone. Snow started blowing through the tree's defense, and it covered the dying grass. The spirits' voices echoed through the air, shrill and horrifying. We shall have this summon for our own! She is ours, ours, ours........Othel Spirit Cleanser, you shall die in vain!
Nalea gasped and her body went limp on the stone as the spirits left her body, rushing around the flying squirrel. You shall stay here forever and never leave! You and this Nalea will be ours forever! You shall give us your bodies so we may walk this earth again!
Nalea gasped for air, her paws freezing and her ears ringing. Othel! She cried. Get out! We have to leave this pl-, she broke off as a lone spirit attacked her mind, cutting off all sense of feeling and control of her body.

Othel saw the lone spirit. He and Equanimity know of its kind. The only way for a group of spirits this large to be in one place was that one needed to attract them. They called these spirits Liches. For all that they have found were once beings of great magic.
I thought that there had to be a Lich here. The spirits body was almost all intact. The only thing was that half of the face was blown off. Tell me your name boy. Or do I have to force it out of you?

Nalea's cloudy eyes searched the clearing until they rested on Othel. She smiled sweetly, but her voice was too sweet and kind as she spoke. Othel, come here. I want to talk to you. We can stay here forever, happy and at peace. Where we belong.....

Fine we do it the hard way. Then Othel used his energy to in a way stab the Lich. But without harming the body. Othel then felt Equanimity's joy. The Silver in the Clouds is coming. If you tell me your name then he might not banish you like all of the others. So come. Tell me.

Loyalty ran in behind Equanimity. Her feet hurt and her legs were cut and bruised. Her eyes had a look of fear to them, and she glanced around for her summon. Nalea! "Nalea!" She spotted her chinchilla on the stone in the middle of the small clearing. "No, Nalea!" She started running towards her, but tripped and fell in the snow. "Oof!"
Then she heard it: The sighing and moaning of the spirits. They swirled around the air, sometimes laughing bitterly. Her eyes widened. But the evilest presence was that of the lone spirit coming from withing Nalea's body. Nalea! No! Come to me, my summon! But there was no response, only a vague blackness fogging Nalea's mind. She could hear it clearly: Come, Nalea......Capture the one named Othel.....Where you belong....Here, forever....

Equanimity looked at the Lich then bursted out laughing. " Look who it is Othel! Its Frank!" Othel then looked back at the Lich. Then he too started to laugh. I didn't recognize him from the burn! Equanimity looked at Loyalty and saw her confusion.
"We have come across Frank before. Its not his real name but we like to call him that. We have met him before. And I banished him. But it seems like he came back." Then he looked back a Frank. "How did you get back by the way?" Equanimity looked back at Othel. "What did you do to piss him off?" The whole time Equanimity had a smile on his face. I don't know. Maby because I stopped the other souls from controlling the summon.
Equanimity looked back at Loyalty. "Get back. We can handle this. She will not be harmed."

Loyalty glanced up at him, eyes full of fear. "If she's hurt after this, I blame you," she says simply. "If she is injured or can't talk or leaves me forever, I will NEVER forgive you, even if I do love you. Nalea comes first." Then she turned her fearful eyes on her poor summon, who was grinning like a crazed animal. Wow, she thought. The boy didn't even help me out. My hero.
Nalea's mind was out of control. The fog blocked out all vision, all feeling, all sense of where she was or who she is. She was a puppet on black, twisted strings. Come on, Othel Spirit Cleanser, Frank sneered. Do your worst. I have the body of a living being, an Immortal. You and Equanimity can't touch me without harming dear Nalea's tiny body, even if you try. The lone spirit laughed darkly, and the controlled Nalea laughed too. Nalea's smile twitched, and her body stiffened. Her eyes started to form some twisted emotion, anger, fear, and craze. Her ears pricked, then her head turned to Loyalty. Equanimity can't help, Loyalty! You have to save me yourself! Come to me, master!
Loyalty didn't notice that her summon's voice was too kind, too high for her chinchilla's. Her eyes grew wide with fear and hope. She started to rise, wanting to hold Nalea once again in her arms.

Equanimity saw Loyalty rise. Then he quickly rushed in front of her. "Its not her talking. Frank is controlling her. Just stay there." He then looked at Frank with a grand smirk. He then took a small stone out of his pocket. On it was a white sun. He also took out his axe.
"I know that you ain't effected by the song but I have found something that can not only take you out of the body without pain to the body. But it gives you extreme pain." Equanimity placed the stone at the end of the axe. Then pointed it at Frank. "You can leave the body without harm coming to you. Or you will suffer extreme pain from the purging. What will be your choose."
While at the same time Othel was channeling his energy into the summon. In a way he was putting a barrier between the summon and Frank. And he relay hoped it would work. If it did the summon could force Frank out of her mind. With that Othel sent a message to the summons clouded mind. You pathetic little wimp. You will let this mortal control without so much as a small protest. He will harm Loyalty because you are letting him do this.

At that remark Nalea's eyes focused on Othel and her ears flattened to her head in anger. The fog in her mind lifted and the lone spirit was left out in the open. You pathetic little sac of fur! Squirrel, you shall pay for that, you runty, under-sized bug-brain! She bared her teeth and leaped at the flying squirrel, raking her claws down his face.
Loyalty heard the whoosh of air as all the spirits and ghosted of the grove vanished into thin air, never to return. The only sound she heard was that of Frank, breathing heavily with anger and frustration. Loyalty jumped to the side of Equanimity, stuck her tongue out at him, and ran to Nalea. She grabbed Nalea by the scruff and ran back to Equanimity. Oh Nalea! I've missed you so much! I'll never do anything again that you don't want me to! Promise! Nalea squeaked with joy, not bothering to talk, just jumped onto her master's shoulder, then puffed up at Frank. Loyalty drew her golden sword and prepared to lunge.
Frank, at the sight of the sword and Axe together, looked fearful and horrified. No! He pleaded. Please, not those! Not the Combo! He started to fade, trying to get away from the golden sword and singing Axe.
ooc: If ya's don't like the endy-thingy, tell me ta change it (I made it up as I went along)

Equanimity looked at Loyalty's sword. "So that IS a holy sword. Hu never would have guessed." He then looked back at Frank and saw him fading. His smile turned into a face of no emotion. He knew what he had to do. He ran up to Frank and, with his axe, cut him in half.
It could physical be seen as Equanimity cutting Frank in half. But in actuality he was trapping him. Frank looked down at the other half of him. Then looked back at Equanimity. His face showed no emotion. "I condemn you to the Void. My you never come back." Then Frank disappeared into nothingness.
Equanimity gave a sigh. He looked back at Loyalty and showed her a face of satisfaction. "He is gone. I really hope he doesn't come back." He gave her a smile. Then he looked at her summon. "Is she ok?" I think so. Othel moved over to the summon.
Your welcome for giving you the chance of freeing your self. I hope you don't take it too personally. Othel was prepared to fly if she was going to attack him.

Loyalty smiled down at Nalea. "She's fine, just a bit sleeply!" She picked her up and held her in her arms. "I shall never do anything you don't want to ever again, my summon," she whispered, but loud enough for Equanimity to hear. "Nothing at all."
Nalea's ears twiched as her eyes closed. I love you, Loyalty. And squirrel, sorry about the face. I think I could grow to like you. Then she yawned and slowly fell asleep.
Loyalty looked up at equanimity. "Where should we go, Equan? And thats so cool about my sword! I knew it was special, but this awsome! And it matches your axe! And....." she went on and on about how cool Frank was and blah blah blah.
