After much discussions, checking and all the other shiznit, I just realized we didn't really update the rules and information area.
NO WONDER PEOPLE KEEP BREAKING RULES. Our bad
I'm not sure whether this should be up, so Seya, if theres no point posting this, just delete it.
As of January 2010, here are the newly added rules:
1) There was a rule on summons. Something about only have two of a species. Well, scrap that, but we're still maintaining the old rule of only 1 male and 1 female per type. Like 1 male and 1 female per spotted leopards, 1 male and 1 female per kangaroos...
2) We're having a temporary ban on creating cat summons, unless you were from the old Prophecy of Sins site and had an approved character with a cat summon.
3) NO HYPERPOSTING. Could've sworn this was already enforced, but I've checked and it isn't. Dangnabits. Well, now you know. Role players now have to WAIT and TAKE TURNS during posting.
Drowning other people's character with you and your posting-partner's posts is unpleasant. You go by a couple of situations, and the other fella hasn't had a chance to respond yet! Not fun, people.
4) Your characters do not have OMGHAXPOWARS. Your characters do NOT take over the world with said OMGHAXPOWARS. Here on tSD, we have rules, plotlines, character positions and a storyline to somewhat follow.
You can only take over the world and have OMGHAXPOWARS if everyone on the staff agrees and an admin grants you that permission. Kepische?
5) Not sure if this was around, but your character cannot be in two threads at the same time, unless it is well stated in the thread that you have left to the other thread and will be back when said other thread is done. Its to prevent a ton of confusion and a mess of a plot line.
6) It is generally unpleasant if you ignore other player's character that had talked to yours. Take time to read, and respond, and if you WANTED your character to ignore them, then say so in your post.
Outright ignorance is mean. And also confuses other players.
7) Do not rush or pester others consistently for posts, but you may do so if they do not post after 2 days and more. Still, no spamming. It irritates people. I've had several complaints as it is.
8) When picking character names, it has to be entirely a SIN name or entirely a VIRTUE name. I know our old site had Drifter as a faction, but they don't exist now. Nothing you can do to bring them back, sorry.
Neutral sounding names and action-type names (and none-related ones) such as Killing and Song or whatever (blah) are not allowed for those creating Sins and Virtues.
9) Through discussions, older and more experienced members are allowed to give opinions, advice, quote rules and basic common knowledge to new members. Be nice though. Only staff are allowed to be rude. (JOKE! Don't kill me!)
Any other rules to be newly enforced for this year will be added to this thread.
