Equanimity walked along the ruins. He could feel the memory's of war. Of much unneeded death. This was a place that any normal person would stay away from. Luckily Equanimity wasn't a normal person
Why are we here? Othel was on his shoulder. Because this place is interesting... Othel took off to one of the pillars. He was still examining some parts of the ruins when he felt the souls of the dead. He could see the minds of all that have died.
Equanimity looked into the crowd of souls of the dead. All of them with the faces of pain and grief. All the he did was give them a smile. He took his Axe out and lightly waved it in the wind. The song filled the air.
All of the souls started to look into the air. All of there faces became faces of happiness and calm. Then they started to fade. The last one to go was a boy. He waved at Equanimity then faded. He put his Axe back and gave a sigh of relief.
I am so happy that you did that. They are all at peace. He looked at Othel and gave him a smile. I did it because I wanted to see if the song worked on the dead as well as the living. He then looked up at the sky and made sure that what he did stayed in his memory. He looked at Othel and held his hand out to him.
Come. You must be hungry after the long trip. Othel glided to his hand and crawled up to his shoulder. Equanimity then looked around the ruins to see if anyone was there that he could eat with. Maby even talk to.

Loyalty walked in slowly. She was shy, and her icy blue eyes survayed her surroundings with catiuosness. She could feel the spirits of the place fade from pain and misery into warmth and happiness.
Whats with the spirits? Nalea was running around her bare feet. Loyalty shrugged , then her eyes widened as she saw someone. "Come, Nalea," she called to her summon, prancing over to the figure.
"Hello," she called in her shy, 13-year-old voice. "Who are you? Whats your name?" Her gaze intensified as her spell tried to capture Equanimity.

Equanimity looked at the girl that showed up for no reason. Or maby there was a reason. In any likely hood he wasn't interested. But then he could feel something coming on to him. He examined the girl. He could see that she was focusing alot on him. Then he knew that she was using some sort of spell or trance on him.
No matter how strong it seemed to him he knew what to do to stop it. He gave all focus on the girl then removed the memory's linking to the one word.
Power
He felt the strange sense going away from him. He then examined the girl. She was average for her size. There were some differences from her to other people like her. You don't even know what she is like. He glanced at Othel. And I have no interest. But he knew what he was interested in. "How are you able to put that sensation into others?" He purposely ignored her question. He never had any interest in names.

She frowned. Her spell wasn't working.....Usually she hated people that could resist it, but she could make an exception for this boy. "I'm Loyalty," she told him. Don't over do it, he can resist you! He must be powerful....Nalea's fur was fluffed up, and her eyes glared at Equanimity. Hush, Nalea. She picked her up and stroked her fur lovingly.
"You know, squirrels and chinchillas are closely related," she told him, looking him straight in the eyes. One hand flicked towards her sword, but she let it drop to her side.
She took a step closer to Equanimity. "I cast a spell to make people loyal and friendly to me the instant they talk to me. It's because of my past life. My friends were never loyal to my and told every secret I shared with them. Then after my parents died in a house fire, one of them came from behind and killed me. I never want that to happen again....." A single tear fell to the ground, and she looked away from him. I told you not to push it! But Nalea squeaked softly, trying to comfert her.

ooc: With Equanimity's power Loyalty is supposed to forget she had a power.
Equanimity was starting to loose interest in what she was saying. What he wanted to do was to see what happened to her. It has been a while sense you tried. He looked at Othel on his shoulder. I know. But I must find out. He stepped closer.
"Come. Let me see for my own what happened to you." Before the girl could say anything he touched her on her arm. The connection was instant for everyone but Equanimity. He looked into her mind and saw what happened.
A house is on fire.
Screams are coming from the crowd.
Two people stand out.
One is in tears.
One is smiling.
The memory skips to two years later.
The girl is walking down the street.
The boy comes from behind her.
Everything goes red.
Equanimity let go of the girls arm. "Interesting. . ." He walked back to were he was before. He looked up at the sky so he can remember this. He looked back at the girl. He had gained some interest in her. "Why do you come here?"

ooc: Sry! Totally forgot! Oops!
Loyalty shrugged. She knew she was supposed to know something, but it escaped her. Nalea was raging in her mind.
Get away from him! He's dangerous! He touched you and now knows something. I can sense it.
You also told me to go meet him, Loyalty shot back. She put nalea down, who was now glaring at Othel, her grey chinchilla fur fluffed up in anger. Loyalty rolled her eyes.
"Sorry for Nalea," she apologized. "Anyways, I came because Nalea sensed that someone here was lonely, or at least sad.
"Were you lonely?"

Equanimity was struck by that question. He has never though of his life that way. He looked up at the sky. "I don't know." More of to himself then anyone else. I think you are.
He gave a confused look at Othel. Well by definition you are. All you have with you is your summon. You never take anyone with you in your travels. And you barely talk with anyone. Equanimity considered that. Then agreed with him.
"I guess, by definition, I am." He gave a small chuckle. "Though I would have never known. I have never known any other feeling other than peace. An I may never will." He looked at the girl. "Why do you ask?"

She smiled broadly. "Because that is the reason I came. To help the person who was lonely." She took a shy step towards him, her eyes sparkling.
LOYALTY! She jumped away from Equanimity as Nalea screamed at her. She ground her teeth, putting her hands over her ears. Stop it, Nalea! She cried in her mind. STOP IT!
Nalea's eyes widened. Loyalty had never yelled at her. She started whimpering sorries to her master.
She gasped for air, straightening. "Sorry," she panted. "Nalea isn't very fond of you right now. And not very....happy with me. And you still haven't told me your name. Again, mine's....Loyalty."
She picked up her summon and hugged her. So sorry, Nalea, she whispered.

Equanimity could feel the anger from the girls summon. He was confused on why the summon was angry. Maby it is protective or thinks you are a threat. Equanimity shrugged at what Othel said. Then he knew what to do.
Equanimity took his axe out and started to lightly swing is in the wind. Then the song came out. While the song was playing He was humming to it. He never knew why just that he did. After about a minute he stopped an walked closer to the girl.
"Is it better?" Why did you do that. He gave Othel a smirk. Because I wanted to see if it also effects summons.

Loyalty's eyes grew calm as she listened to the sound. "It beautiful..." she mummered.
Nalea's ears pricked up, and her eyes grew sleepy. They slowly closed, and the summon sank to the ground, all anger gone in a few seconds. She was fast asleep.
Loyalty glanced at the chinchilla. "She's asleep!" She didn't sound overly surprised, but impressed. "And all the anger just..melted."
Now that the summon was asleep, she skipped closer to Equanimity. She looked at the Axe. "Nice weapon!" She smirked. "But can it beat this?"
She took out her four-foot-long pure golden sword. It glittered in the light, and the sapphire handle sparkled with flecks of ruby and silver. "Nice, huh?" She spins it in her palm, smiling.

Equanimity examined the sword. "A little too flashy but interesting. . ." Pretended to examine the sword closer. But what he was really doing was trying to sense the girls feelings and intentions. As he got closer he could feel that her heat was rising.
I think she likes you. I don't even need to connect to your mind to know that. Equanimity gave Othel a glare. She is interested in the axe. That is all. Othel laughed. You know I have heard that the bigger the mans axe the bigger the. . .
Equanimity cut him off. You don't need to explain. And for the first time he looked at the girls body. Luckily with her knowing. She is too young. Othel scoffed. You are too young for some women that you were 'interested in'.

Loyalty tried to talk to Nalea. Nalea, sorry, but...I think I like him! She blushed.
Nalea's ears twiched. I already knew you did. Why did you think I was so mad? I don't want you to get hurt again.
She rolled her eyes. "Name please. You still haven't told me. Or introduced me to your summon, either!" She smiled at Othel cutely.
Nalea's ears perked up. Don't push it, Loyalty, or I'll bite the boys nose.
Loyalty burst out laughing. Nalea giggled too. You'll scare him!

Equanimity saw the blush. Oh no. . . Othel laughed. I told you! Equanimity sighed. This is going to be an interesting day. Then he heard what she asked and gave an aniod sigh.
"Because you are going to be asking me over and over again for my name you can just call me E. And this is Othel." On that note Othel glided past the girls head and landed next to the girls summon. He then started to talk to it privately.
You know that you friend will go after a lost cause if she expects him to love her. By nature he can't love or almost anything else. But if your friend can keep his interest then he will stick around with her. But when she is of no interest to him he will leave. Its not because he is mean its just how he works I guess.

Nalea opened one eye and glared at Othel. I tried to get her away but she wanted to help him. Tell him what love is, why don't you? And Loyalty will always be loyal to him if he's a friend. That's why her name is Loyalty, squirrel.
Loyalty smiled at Equanimity. "If thats the best I'm gonna get, E." She puts her sword away. "At least Nalea isn't mad at you any more. She seems at peace. Kinda." She shrugged. "Anyways....." She looked aroud the place.
"When I came here, the spirits were hurt and sad. But soon that faded into peace and happiness. Let me guess, it was you and your Axe?"

Equanimity gave the girl a smile. "Why yes. Whenever the wind lightly moves through the axe the song come out. I don't know why or how but the song is the real mystery. It puts anyone and everything at a calm. It is very useful." He took the axe out.
"There is also something that every warrior wishes they had. When the axe is swung in the air at someone they here the sound of, what it was described to me as, a baby screaming. I have rarely used it in that way."
Equanimity then though back to what the girl said. He was now very interested in her. He took a small step closer to her. "You can feel the spirits?" He has heard of people who can see them but not feel them.
