A male Flying Squirrel named Othel

On his travels Equanimity found lost baby squirrel. It was on its own out in the wilderness. And out of interest he decided to raise it. Ever sense then he has either carryed it around or it flew on it own. But it never went very far away from him.

One day Equanimity came across a book. It taked about summons and how to get one. It was a small ritual that when preformed would connect the person to there summon.

Equanimity did the ritual. Then a curious thing happened. The squirrel spoke into his mind to ask if he was connected to his summon? He answered his now summon with a laugh. He hadn't laughed before for as long as he could remember.

Othel is very open hearted. He is basically all of Equanimity's emotions. He makes sure that Equanimity either gets interested in things or makes sure that he doesn't get too interested in them. It may seem like Equanimity doesn't have any emotion but Othel knows that inside he is full of emotion but his way of life doesn't let him bring it out.

Power:

He is able to remove memory's in the form of a phrase. an example would be either, Life with Jessie or Jessie. Any memory connected to that is gone. But this effect lasts only for around 2 minutes. It depends on how Strong the memory is. To use this power he must focuses on the person.

He is also able to touch another person and look into there mind. When he looks into someones he sees only pictures and images and he can also see other things that occupy the mind.

Weapon:

He carrys a large (for his size) battle Axe. With the core of the blade descended to have wind pass through it to make sound. So if a light wind passes through it a song come out of it. It has an effect on everyone that hears it. The effect is that everyone becomes very calm and relaxed. The only problem is that when no wind passes through it the song stops and everyone that heard it forgets what the song was. They only remember that there was a song.

Also if the Axe is swung to strike at someone then the wind that passes through it creates a sound that only the attacked can hear. It is the sound of a chalkboard screech. It is meant to distract the target from what they are thinking.

Appearance:

He walks in a peaceful trance like state. He only comes out of it if something catches his interest. He has natural brown slightly pulled back hair. His skin is very lightly tanned. He has slightly large black eyes. He is also slightly small for his age.

History:

When he was born he didn't cry. As he was growing up he never wined. He was always at peace. Whenever he was asked to do something he did it in his own way. He has never complained and he has never argued. Only because he has always been able to prove that what he says is true. But if what he has said is wrong then he accepts that.

As he grew up he became even more at peace. He has also noticed that as peace grew on to him it became taken away from the people around him. So he decided to leave his home in search of a place that can keep its peace.

On his travels he became the virtue of Equanimity. He didn't know how or why. He has long forgotten it. Ever sense then memory's have been like the wind through his hair. Only few things get cough in it.

Behaviour:

If something catches his interest then his voice is very fast and full of energy. If he is talking to something that isn't of his interest then his voice is very lazy and slow. He usually forgets anything not of any interest. Usually memory's pass through him like water down a stream. Where ever he goes there is always peace. When he finds conflict he always turns it into peace. He know that he can't make people be at peace. So he instead makes everything around them at peace. He himself has never felt any major emotions. Only peace, interest and being satisfied. On occasion he has felt happy or worried but it never sticks.

Sorry, Equanimity is too much of a Drifter name. No matter how much you try, Drifters will never be brought back. They have no purpose anymore. So you either pick a real Sin name, or a Virtue name, or none at all yet.

Didn't Seya ask you to wait? Good things come to those who wait, trust me. You don't to regret running out of character space when the time comes.

May I suggest a different name? I found one that ties fairly well to both his power and behavior if you want to give it a shot.

Temperance is moderation of needed things and abstinence from things which are not needed.

[1. moderation or self-restraint in action, statement, etc.; self-control.
2. habitual moderation in the indulgence of a natural appetite or passion, esp. in the use of alcoholic liquors.
3. total abstinence from alcoholic liquors. ]


Relation to Power: He could feel that some memories are not needed and that's why he removes them for those 2 minutes.

Relation to Behavior: If he feels he doesn't absolutely need to talk to someone, he won't. He could also be abstinent from drinking and other such things. And he could also have very good control over what he says/does-- not be wild or quick to anger and such.

Maybe if you developed the character more, they'd understand better that his character is a virtue? I mean, get everything about him down then his personality and actions can show that he is a virtue.
