A few years ago when Charity was a new virtue and getting used to the land he came across an antique store. He looked through many old items that amused him very much. Till he found a section on books. Charity loved to read book, every since he was young and alive. He rustled though them, they where all wrinkled and and the pages where a light shade of brown. Some had pages torn out, some had many pages torn.He found a book, read the back of it and with it got hooked on the book. He gladly bought the book and with good intentions that if he liked it he would come back for more.
It is some years later now, he sits in a pub with his book that he has read more then 10 times. He sat alone in a table close to a window and a the nice glow of the candle on his table got him hooked in the book from the piece he felt here. He could not stop reading even when he reached for his glass of ginger ale. The book after all these years has gotten more brown and more worn out but not as bad as it should be for Charity tried his best to keep it in good condition. He chuckled a but as the text that he had just read.
He yawned for it was quit late for him. The moon shown in threw the window so brightly that it could itself could almost light the whole pub itself. Charity looked around the place. A few men sat in the table a bit away from him, they seemed to be celebrating something. The all drank some strong drink that smelt almost like a mixture of rum and beer. They started to sing a song but only could remember on verse so the sang it over and over again. He looked over at the bar where a man sat with a beer in his hand. He seemed very sad, like someone had just left him or like he had just gotten fired from his job. Then the man bursted out crying. Charity shook his head at the man in disappointment. Last in the pub was the bar keep and his daughter.
Charity watched as the bar keep talked to her as he washed a mug, then as he tilted his head toward Charity, the young girl walked over to him. Charity quickly went back to his book. The girls smiled and said, "can I get you another dink sir." Charity rose from his book and smiled back it her, "no, I'm good at the moment. Thank you though." And then he went back to his book. The girl then asked, "what are you reading?" Charity simply replied with, "a book. Its quite old and you would not be interested." The girl tried to get into Charity's peripheral vision and said, "I like books. I love to read." Charity then looked at her. She was tall with long black hair that seem to have a bit of a curl to it. Her blue eyes sparkled as the the moon hit them. In theory this woman was beautiful but Charity did not notice. "I think the men over there need more drinks" Charity said pointing with his eyes. She turned to see the men all trying the shake the last drops from their mugs to their tungs. The girl looked back at Charity a bit upset but put on a fake smile and said, "so you're right. Excuse me." She left him disappointed. Charity felt a bit bad about talking to her like that but just went t back to his book.
ooc:anyone is welcome to interrupt Charity's reading.
