EVERYTHING IN LIFE HAS RULES.
Guess what? We're no different.[/b]
Like all roleplaying sites out there, SkiesDivided has a set of rules we expect you to follow in order to enjoy your game and let others enjoy theirs. We have a warning system. One strike against you and we'll let you know. Two strikes and we'll warn you, inform you of what you were doing wrong and explain how it isn't right. Three strikes and your account will be temporarily banned for a week. Four, and your IP address will no longer be allowed on the site.

1. Do not give us a fake identity. Chances are, we'll find out, and then you'll get an automatic expulsion of your IP address from the site.
2. Rudeness towards other players out of character will not be tolerated. Respect is something we are aiming for. Don't bring in-character fights to the news.
3. No plagiarism. I don't want to see any stolen work or descriptions from already-invented characters or names. With your permission agreeable on the sheet, and from you only, we may be given the rights to use your character out-of-site.
4. So typical, but no god-moding. As much as you might like to think it, your character is not invincible and will die at some point. We cannot prevent character deaths if you have led them into a trap. We will warn you that a thread you are in could possibly become 'impassable', meaning, you may not start any more threads until that one is finished, because the thread could possibly be fatal or change your character significantly.
5. No powerplaying. This is defined as taking control of another player's character, and will not be tolerated.
See below for the difference between moderating and powerplaying.
6. Your characters cannot act upon information they do not know.
7. Post minimums should be strictly followed, and they are currently set at a minimum of 12 sentences or two paragraphs per post. If this is not followed, you will receive warnings.
8. No swearing, trash-talking or making references to any out-of-site games/media/etc. while either making a character or while IC! We don't want your character to have "powers" or the like from games such as MMORPGs, ConsoleRPs, or stories! This is alongside plagiarism, and, is equally as prohibited.
9. It is advised that you do not start any fights with our staff. You will inevitably lose, just because. If you strongly argue your point however, bring it to the notice of a co-admin or administrator.
10. There are guidelines to how many characters you can have and the qualifications in getting them. Follow them. We didn't write them for nothing. If you don't consider this, our staff have all the rights to merely delete your extra character without consideration.
11. No threads must be left undated. Otherwise, they will immediately be locked. On this note, they must be dated using Realm Calendar Format.
12. We have pages upon pages of useful information that is a suggested read, expecially when creating characters, or requesting different objects.

Moderating VS Powerplaying: It's Not What You Think!
It's likely that in every post you're a part of, there will be a moderator smoothing along the happening. They might not have a character in it at the moment, either, but they control all NPCs in the area, and to a point can 'influence' the direction of your character, or any stimulations of the senses. For example;

They might not have a character in it at the moment, either, but they control all NPCs in the area, and to a point can 'influence' the direction of your character, or any stimulations of the senses. For example;
Guilt glared at the virtue, tightening her grip on the runed staff. "That's not true," she hissed quietly. "He... never meant to do it to me. It's my fault." Filled with a sudden rush of anger, she sprinted forwards, swinging at Forgiveness' shins.
Roleplayer B writes:
Forgiveness let out a gasp of fright as Guilt rushed towards her. She made a move to jump to the side, whipping out a throwing knife immediately and jabbing it in the direction of the oncoming sin.
MOD writes:
The air whistled, and the sound of heavy breathing ceased abruptly from both of the reincarnates. A sudden 'thwack!' indicated the staff had met its target- it slapped roughly across Forgiveness's calves, giving her no choice to drop. However the virtue's knives did their own job- Guilt's cheek now bared a shallow, long slice.
In this scenario, the moderator is not controlling either character, and shows this by bolding their names whenever used. However, he is influencing what is happening around the character at the time.
