Population: Approximately 200.
Villagers here are called the Khammans, which is derived from the name Kham'hur that consists of 4 different islands. The Khammans are mostly good-natured people with darker, tanned skin and mostly black haired with light to dark brown eyes. (Of course, there are also varieties, results of marrying Indafell natives.)
The Chief of the Khammans is named Iakko, sometimes called Earthshifter. He helps move the islands around, and this immortal stays in a 2 storey white stone house in the centre of the village square.
Most houses here are made of white stone, native to the islands, with thatched roofs. They're not placed very strategically and are placed in random spots irregularly, but no one here seems to mind.
The villagers thrive by tending to crops and other agricultural means, and some sell crafted items. Most villagers go to the Shalom's, a family of expert craft and weapon makers who combine a little magic into the things they make. Even (Empress) Vengeance, who had her spear fashioned a century or two ago by a Shalom who's name was Kim, would recommend them.
Khammans celebrate a variety of occasions and festivals, commonly held on the beach or in the village square.
List of festivals and holidays:
- New Year's Eve and New Year (Held by the beach, villagers are fond of setting off beautiful fireworks to commemorate the event. Much drinking occurs as well.)
- Spring Equinox (to celebrate the arrival of the Sea Cyprus and peak of the season. Marketplace is busy, and usually decorated for the guests.)
- Valentines (Oh yes, they do celebrate Valentines. The villagers love romance, and occasional drama.)
- Floral Festival (End of spring, villagers would decorate the village and the Sin's Retreat with beautiful native flowers and have a little celebration at the village square.)
- Kayak Race (One of the things most Khamman's are good at: Kayaking. Villagers hold bets and winners of the race receive blessing from the Chief and a mystery prize.)
(blah blah, more will come. Gotta sleep now, will write more later.)
