This is a quote from another site on this topic, as well as my response. =]

It was a bit long, and that left a bad taste in my mouth considering my issues with 2012 and all, but it was one of the few long films that I honestly felt had enough good stuff in it to justify its length. I thought the world was constructed extremely well; a lot of the concepts were really neat and I thought the presentation of the whole ecosystem was very nice- for example, you could clearly see the evolutionary patterns in the planet; the prevalence of six-limbed animals, for example.

It was a film that appealed to a lot of parts of me- it had action, it had cool creatures, it had some really awesome concepts, it appealed to my inner hippy, and simply put, Pandora was just so phenomenally beautiful- I love rainforests.

That said, I think a lot of the appeal for me came from the aforementioned concept aspects and the skill with which they purveyed a genuinely alien world. People who are bigger on plot and character then I am would likely find it disappointing- both of these aspects are more then a little cliche.

I loved the idea of everything "alien" in the world of Pandora. But even so, as the plot was somewhat cliche, I still found the story and character development to still be enjoyable. I was a sucker for some of the parts.

And since I didn't really hype myself over this movie like a lot of people, I couldn't really be disappointed with anything. It was a fantastic movie for what it was. And go see it in 3D or you'll be missing out! =D

I love how their world is so carefully planned out! I love the language, even though I only remember what sxchwong means (is it even spelled like that? Forgotten already lmao).

Makes me want to ride one of those Ikran things. (I've probably forgotten what everything should be properly called. I want to watch it again. )

I just watched Avatar last night On 3D! It was FANTASTICALLY AWESOME!!!

Now I want me own Avvy ;_; If only Pandora was real. The whole place, the People included were so perdy I wonder how it feels to bond with a creature >.>

Lol I hold no high hopes of being able to survive in Pandora. As much as I'd like to ride one of their horses or the Toruk or whatever they're spelled. AND 3D! WHAT. When I watched, they didn't have those yet.

Not that I like the 3D glasses very much, they give me a headache.

The glasses are horrible -.- Try wearing them WITH spectacles. Madness trying to balance them on my specs.

But I watched at Cineleasure. However you spell that. Near The Curve. They always have 3D movies there

Cineleisure. I know where it is at, I've watched a couple'a shows there before.

Precisely why I hate 3D glasses. I'm in no mood to wear contacts, and I personally don't like my face without my glasses. I'm a picky person

xD Yeah well, it's worth it though. Unless the show itself was stupid. After buying the meatball DVD, I was like, I'm glad we didn't go watch the 3D...

And I wonder how people balance the glasses on their specs if the specs were round o.o Mine is rectangularish, so it was easy and only if I look down, they drop.

Anyway, back on topic, what do you think happened after Jack bonded with the... rook? xD That big big orange bird!

And then because a Toruk rider wasn't needed no more after the war, he let it go. Probably get back with his Ikran again.

lol, I hate it when cinema movies don't have subtitles >.< I never know what they're saying properly.

And nunu, I'm talking about that black out scene! Right after Jake jumped onto the Toruk! There was a screech and poof, black out. What do you think happened when he bonded? Do you think he had to struggle like he did with his Ikran? Or did the Toruk suddenly become tame... o.O That doesn't sound like it would happen...

I. LOVE. AVATAR!!!

It was cliche at first, yes.
She hates Stranger. She teaches Stranger. She falls in love with Stranger and all that shiz.

But.

It was just... Too real! Too BELIEVABLE.
The concept of the whole planet was GREAT. I loved how they had the oceanic elements.
I loved the creatures, though I'm not sure if I would be too happy around bugs THAT size.
I loved how the Na'vis had a lion features, probably because it would've mixed well with the African people theme.
The USB plug (from a friend lawl) idea was great. Makes me jealous because I would've wanted to connect to nature like that too ):

Maybe it's because I'm a nature freak eh. I dunno.
But this movie meant a lot to me.
